Here's something you don't see everyday

If you can't see it, the link is here: http://youtu.be/4LcEDPRfHMY

For those who don't speak Chinese, this is what the Chinese lady said in the end:

"Praise the Lord. We all need this. When I see this book, I see those brothers and sisters who, through their sweat and blood, helped us to get this book. This is what our church really needs at this time."

For those who don't know, China is very oppressive towards Chinese Christians and this forces many churches to go underground or become house churches. The government also regulates how many Bibles can be published or distributed in the country, which basically means that these churches would have a limited amount of people to have Bibles of their own. Some church have the leaders to be the only one to have the Bible because of how limited the amount is. There are people (missionaries and church members) who devote their time and lives trying to ship, print, and smuggle Bibles into the country. Those who get caught suffer costly and dangerous consequences.

Seeing their emotions when they finally have their hands on a Bible, it makes you wonder, how much do we take our freedom to worship and our freedom to have a Bible for granted? Think about that.

I fixed the video for you.

That was definitely a good watch, it really makes you appreciate what you have and it really makes you appreciate your religious freedom.

A few years ago, a member from China asked if I'd send him a Bible. I definitely would've but he never got back to me with his address. Sometimes I wish I had the money to help out the Christians of China, or even other Asian countries.

This goes to show how ungrateful people are who live in a 1st world countries such as the United Kingdom, The United States of America and most European countries. I myself may not be religious in any way or form, but I do understand why people have such faith. I know that is why many people who live in 3rd world countries are very grateful for things such as Bibles and even general necessaries, we in the 1st world countries do not appreciate what we have in life.

We are lucky that we live in non-oppressive countries and can do almost anything that we wish to as long as it is legal. This really does show how this world is still so corrupt to the point in which people cannot think as they wish. This world is full of philosophical issues that we ignore every day. Even as we speak we take for granted what we already have. You don't have to be religious to realize that.

Lump in my throat as I watched that. Thanks!  That's what you call "Hungry for the Word".  We have so much liberty in my country regarding our Christianity.  I am so privileged, but it's forgotten sometimes...
