So the title says it all. What is your life plan? No matter what age or what position your life is in, everybody seems to have a goal or a plan that they want to reach or follow.

Personally, I want to finish high school and get into college. I'm in grade 10 so I only have two years left. I'm hoping to get into nursing at the college that I really want to get into. After that, I may stick as I nurse or continue my education to become a Physiotherapist. After that, I guess I just have to wait and see to what happens from there. I haven't thought that far yet, which of course is many years away (only about eight if everything goes well).

So what is your life plan or some of your goals that you wish to meet?

MoblinGardens : Well as someone who is older I am of the belief that no matter how well you may think you have things planned out for yourself, realistically there is no way for anyone to have their plans happen in full. I learned a long time ago that it really is in God’s hands.

When I was younger even though I periodically wrote, I didn’t think nor was it really my ambition to become a writer as my career. I also thought that I would be making a steady living doing something and maybe even settled down by the time I turned 30.

Well as life tends to do, things changed. As I am pushing 30 I am a writer and even though I am still struggling to make a living I can honestly say there isn’t anything else that I would rather be doing. My journey as a writer has certainly not been easy at times. I am a high school dropout and was never really pushed to my full potential when I was in school. This left me with very little options once I left school and I really had to work hard at becoming a writer. It’s something that even after years of experience that you always have to stride to do. No one is perfect and even the most seasoned writers have to polish up from time to time.

The last couple of years in particular have been challenging in regard to my writing but despite those struggles and stressful times, I look at my ability to write as a gift from God. It has done so much for me and even though I may be struggling to make a living, I am grateful for what it has done for my life. Once I accepted that my writing would be my chosen profession, even though it took a long time; it helped me straighten my life out. It gave me direction, it gave me responsibility, and it gave me a purpose. For that I am forever grateful.

As for what I want now of days well, it would be nice if I could finally get to the point where I can make a steady living off of my writing. All I can do is do what I have to in regard to my writing and hopefully I’ll get there.

Please do all you can to stay in school and finish school. You will thank yourself later.

Yeah. Same with me. I am going to try to finish high school good and go to college. From there, I want to get a hard work ethic to try to start a company of some sort with my brother and my best cousin. To get up there...I'll just take business classes or whatever I need to try to start up something large like that. To be honest...if success doesn't come to you...I think you should take it yourself. No matter what anyone says...life is what you make it. Everyone is accountable for their own actions...and with the right understandings your plan will never fail unless something unfortunate happens to it. My plan right now is to finish college, go to a decent job and have a business partnership with my family, more likely with my second older sister and one of my cousins since they're taking up courses that are in the same field as mine. Second is to continue my music studies and become professional musician.

I don't really have one to be honest. The way I live my life now is to it fullest, I don't take for granted the things I have, or the people I care about. I work hard to provide, and just live as best I can day to day. Should anything in my life great happens now, then that would be awesome. But I have no set life plan to speak of.

EvilAlu : That is pretty much where I am at though I do hold out hope that I will finally be able to make an adequate living off of my writing. It would certainly justify all the time, effort, and things that I have done without if I could finally make an adequate living. It would also justify the stresses that I’ve had to deal with as well. It’s frustrating because although writing is one of the best things you can do which allows you the extra time and is certainly enjoyable, it is one of the most difficult fields to make a living. Hope I get there eventually. You’re right though you should never take anything for granted.

As much as I would love to post nearly a paragraph or two regarding this discussion, I can honestly say I don't have a plan at all. Given the circumstances and the situation I am in life, the only real plan I have is to work my hardest and see what my future can hold.

Cause really, even if you push yourself to the limits... it all depends on what the world around you is doing, to determine what is possible. If suddenly out of the blue, the USA goes bankrupt or something... that will OBVIOUSLY hinder with your plans, so really... I don't plan anything, I'll just keep on doing the best I can and hope for a better tomorrow.

Currently my life plan is to same up some money so I can afford to get a place on my own and live for the rest of my life in., other than that, that's pretty much it.

I don't really have one. I guess go to college and learn stuff.

To be a little honest...I really just want to find that "someone" for me. That person that makes me happy all the time, and who I can reflect upon and think "wow..I'm so damn lucky" and never have a moments doubt about. 

Sadly, though, I will have to be skeptical of my feelings and thoughts from now on...as twice in my very young life I thought I had such a thing.

Maybe you are right, generic "that guy"...but one of them was a relationship lasting 3 years, and the other was a relationship of about 4 months in which 0 fight occurred and the only word fitting of describing it is "perfection" (excluding those horrid final moments, of course). 

My life plan is pretty straightforward:

1. Master's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
2. Some sort of upper level corporate job (Chief Information Officer or Chief Security Officer)
3. Hopefully meet a woman who can accept me for who I am and not what I can do for her or give to her (yeah, I know that might be asking too much)

I don't really have a plan as such but I do have things I want to do/ achieve before I reach 40, these are: to get a good university degree in law, to be a successful barrister, to find a woman who loves me for what I am not what I can be, to have 2-3 kids. This might be a bit much to ask for and I may end up regretting the last one.

My biggest focus at the moment is to complete my formal education. I'm currently working on a B.S. in physics and mathematics. After that, I'd like to keep going and get a master's and perhaps even a PhD in physics. Once that's finished, I'd ideally like to work in academia as a professor, but if that doesn't work out, I'd probably just get certified to become a high school teacher.

Either way, once I'm done with my education and get a job (which could take ~10 years from this point, assuming everything works out as planned), I'll want to find a place to live with that certain special someone. If my life is nice and stable at this point, then I think I'd like to become a parent.

All that should keep me busy until my time is up.

Good luck with all your school stuff! By this time, I have learned that life plans make me become more anxious and frustrated because most of my life hasn't gone as smoothly or according to my plan haha. I've had many struggles and obstacles that have made me stronger but I feel that having goals is certainly important. Taking everything step by step is better than planning too far ahead, as things can change so quickly and spontaneously.

My main goals and aspirations are to continue with my major in Psychology. At the moment, I finished college, so now I'm try to get a bachelor's and master's degree with that. I want to be able to work in that field, where I know I will be happy and feeling like I'm really making a difference in people lives. Other than that, I just want to get my mother a house and dedicate time to her, for all that she has done for me. Once I know that she is stable and happy, then from there I just hope to one day be able to get a comfortable place where I'm close to nature. From there, being able to visit many friends all over the world and seeing new sights is probably my last goal. In general, I just want to live to learn about myself and the world, have my career to help people and contribute to system in a positive way, try new challenges until I'm old and to be in the company of friends and family.

I dont really think that far ahead, i move a day at a time.
My immediate plan is to finish uni (halfway there, time flies), then get a relevant job. After that, i haven't a clue

My plan is to graduate with an advanced diploma by getting 26 credits in school and then go to the university of virginia and get a master's degree for being a doctor or something, I am still unsure on what I want to be when I get older but I do intend to go to college. I wan't to be successful, get married, maybe have 1 or 2 children. I want to provide for my family and have a full, good life. I am still working things out, I am still in high school and I have a long life ahead of me! So I am not 100% sure about things yet but for now I am going to enjoy the easy life of being a kid, where life is easy and unstressed!

My life plan is to go to college, graduate, and have a job in the field of Sports Management.  Right now I'm a senior in high school and I also want to get a job so I can have a little bit of change in my pocket as well.  Passing all my classes and I'm ranked top 100 in my class.  I just need three more classes then I'm off to college so I'm getting really close to my goal.  If I do work in Sports Management, I'll work as long as can, then retire from the field and just live the rest of my life slow and easy.

My life plan is really the same as any ones. I want to be successful. I want to settle down sometime when I'm A LOT older and have kids, start a family of my own. Get a nice house in a nice country and raise my kids!
