Cloud killed Aeris, though Sephiroth played a decent part. I know you don't believe me. I will give you a clicky to a video, but I will summarize the whole thing and give you my thoughts.

Here is that clicky you have heard so much about

Here is the summary. If you superimpose a skeleton onto Aeris, you will see that Sephiroth's sword punctured her T7 vertebrae. This would cause paralysis, making Aeris unable to control her torso. If you listen to Spehiroth removing his sword, you can easily hear the vertebrae crack. Next of all, you have to ask, "Where was the blood?" There wasn't a single drop. Now before you talk about the game designers not wanting to be too graphic, take into account that there was plenty of blood in the game. Remember when Sephiroth did what he does best in the Shinra building? Plenty of blood there. There was a man in 1947 that dumbfounded medical experts by not bleeding or causing internal injury after piercing his body with swords, being shot in the head, and boiled. He learned how to do so from an ancient art. Wait...isnt Aeris an Ancient? An injury like this would easily cause unconsciousness, it pierced her spine and that would stop tons of blood flow to the brain. It would also stop a lot of blood flow to the extremities, this possibly being why Aeris didn't move her arms.Cloud assumed she was dead...and killed her. Did you notice how quickly she sank? Someone who is dead would float due to air trapped in the lungs. People who are alive sink quickly due to tension in the muscles.  Cloud thought she was dead and inadvertently killed her.
Thoughts? I think I explained it well, but watch the video.

That video was ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS! I watched it a few weeks back and showed my friend who adores Final Fantasy, and we both just died laughing. The lengths these people go to sometimes is astounding, but definitely well worth it when you make people happy.

Hahaha. I love the Game Theory videos. I watch them all. While I knew that Final Fantasy VII videos would happen, this one when it appeared took me by surprise. But it seems to work to me. It makes sense.

Yes, I liked that F.F.7 video too.

If you liked that Video?
You should check out the "Zelda" one where the dude eats grass.
I think the title is about Links Inventory Items.

Lots of fun on that one.

Others too.

Good Luck To All.
Peace.

Great video. ^^

Wow, that's even plausible... Man, I wished, Square Enix (or whoever created this scene) would reveal this secret. Impressive, if this were their actual thought when they made Aerith's dead, lol.

Whatever, they very likely just made a mistake forgetting the blood and so on, instead of creating such a weird death scene, where noone (except the guy/s who made the video) would actually understand who's really the killer.

I shouldn't think that seriously about this...

...Or maybe they really did it intentionally and didn't want to tell the players?

Ryroe : It is already said that it can't be that they simply did not put it in considering other points in the game are completely drowned in blood. It's not so much a secret though. Perhaps you were not thinking of the correct words.

tails the fox : Yes, but that wasn't said by the creators of the game, was it? I was thinking of the correct words. I wrote, that they possibly just forgot to add blood to Aerith's dead. No matter, if there's blood in other scenes.
