Welcome to the first strategy guide ever made. I will show tips and tricks for this game and try to help you on levels that I had trouble with when I was young (maybe not what I had trouble with). Princess's Secret Slide, Secret Star!
Everyone knows that in Princess's Secret Slide if you reach the bottom there is a block waiting to get hit and that's how you get the star, but did you know there is a Secret Star? Remember about the time in this zone? If you finish in 20.9s or less, that is how you get the Secret Star. You can use save states if you fall or if you are too late (For some reason, my friend thinks the word "too late" is funny). Through the Jet Stream Without Metal Cap!
Now the way to do this trick, you need to have fast reflexes. So normally you need the Metal Cap to do this, but there is in fact a way to do this Mission without it (I'm talking about Jolly Roger Bay: Mission 6 because Dire Dire Docks: Mission 4 requires it). So first, go into the Jet Stream from above. Second, swim as fast as you possibly can into the Jet Stream. When you are near the Star, the Jet Stream will start to push you away from the Star. When this occurs, swim against it and sort of downward. And the star is yours! If you are unable to pull this trick off, just get the Metal Cap, accessible in Hazy Maze Cave. Mario Wings to the Sky, more like "Mario Cannons to the Sky"
This is yet another one of those tricks to do when you don't have the corresponding cap to the Mission you are playing. In Bobomb Battlefield: Mission 5, go to the Island in the sky, and enter the cannon. This should take 3 shots from the Cannon if the trick worked. On the first shot, you must aim your best at the first secret coin there is to find. After you launch you will get the Secret Coins, 1 2 3. Then, go right back to the cannon you launched from when you got there. The trick is harder you chose the one on the summit. Second shot, leave the cannon as it is when it is prepared. You will get Secret Coin 5, not only that but you get Secret 5 but not the coin. Return to the cannon as usual and launch your third and final shot aiming at the coin right above where Secret Coin 1 was. You will then get Secret Coin 4 and make it just in time for getting the Star. This trick is pretty easy unless you are not very good at launching yourself into the Island in the Sky. Shoot Into the Wild Blue, more like "Jump Into the Mild Blue"
To do this trick, you must be a skilled Mario player. Basically, this takes place in Whomp's Fortress: Mission 3. Normally, you would have to take the cannon to aim at that place where the star is- which is hard... well, for the people who aren't as good - in the Wild Blue. But the Wild Blue is not so wild as it is mild. Did you know there were 3 other ways (one requires glitches) to get in there without using the cannon? One way is that you go over to the spot with the big pole with a 1up at the top. Jump down there and at the right time, kick to give you an extra boost of air and you will hang down from the second floor. Get up, then go down to the first and get the star. The next one is the one I do to get to the star. So right below it, jump high enough and wall kick off the brick wall and you made it! This last one is indeed the one which requires glitches. You slide towards the star at the top of the ramp, and press B as fast as you can on the edge of the top of the brick wall, then, glitch through the second floor and get the star. This is the way TASers or speed runners would do it. Course 10: Snowman's Land, how to enter
This strategy might be for beginners only, but here is how to enter Snowman's Land. So in the castle, go to the second floor, after you have beaten Bowser in Bowser in the Fire Sea. Then, go through the door that is sort of sticking into the castle. You will find pictures of many course's paintings you have jumped through to get those stars such as, Bobomb Battlefield or Whomp's Fortress. But do you notice there is a Cool, Cool Mountain picture that isn't really there? Try jumping in! You will be taken to Snowman's Land. Time and Time again
Here is a tip you might like. If you start Tick Tock Clock, when the Minute Hand is on a certain number the Course will react in different ways. 3: Everything goes slow so can react to the stuff with ease such as you won't get pushed back by the conveyor belts that much. 6: Things that go one way sometimes go in reverse, things that go back and forth go in a Fast Motion back and a Slow Motion forth. 9: Everything goes fast and aggressive on you. 12: You've Frozen the Tick Tock Clock! 1 2 4 5 7 8 10 and 11: It's a mystery...
Well thanks for reading this strategy guide, I hoped it helped you on your game. Welcome to the first strategy guide ever made. I will show tips and tricks for this game and try to help you on levels that I had trouble with when I was young (maybe not what I had trouble with).
