The site is a beta so it may not be that good since it's not a full version yet.
The line "start battling online with more than +500,000 trainers from around the world!" is doubtfull though.
Also from my research, they have been in beta for nearly 3 years.

There is good sides:
All pokémon are available without doing rediculous things.
You can choose your charecter.
All starters are there.
16 gyms to beat.
With elite-4.
Battle anyone.
Make your own level.

Also, I think the vizzed battle arena could be made similar to the battle system on pokémon indigo.
