Singelli : Figured you'd say that. Now, to make it tougher. What if you could have people like them on the other site? I mean, trustworthy, awesome, ect. Which would you choose then?

marcus047 : Thought process for me is to just notice as much detail as I can. Sometimes the funniest things are some of the smaller, unnoticed details and from there go about critique how it is as an art, as an experience, and as a relaxing medium. If there is something that irritates me, I would keep note of it. Something that gets me in excited or attracts me, I make note of it. And I want to keep my comments from being simply "I like it" or "I don't like it". I like to make comparisons with my personal experiences or observations from other items.

As for what inspires me, it really depends on what you are talking about. There are so many different things that can inspire me.

thing1 : Sure, we can do that. My Sunday is pretty open this week. Do you want to speak in private through PM or through google hangout/chat?

mrfe : Site staff, just because I don't really know how to make my own site, nor do I think I would have gotten the idea or the publicity that this site has to offer. Finally, it's cuz I'm already in this site and enjoy this site, so it's rather pointless to me to make something that can be as popular.

Studying is going.

Singelli : I didn't pick E because it was such a cop out answer. No fun in that. You obviously have never gotten a pet rock. Of course you will talked to them

Hrrrrrrrrrm.  That's a difficult thing to answer!  Haha.  I don't know if I've ever SEEN him do anything odd, more than I've HEARD him say strange things.

As boring as this might be... I think the oddest thing I've seen him do is hide under his covers during bible study.  He often joins us right from bed... he looks so comfy!  But I think some days he doesn't want to even be bothered with the light, and he pulls the cover all over his head, like a turtle.  LOL

Singelli : That...is such a disappointing answer...You make me sound so boring....I can definitely match that.

earthwarrior : Well, most of the weird things that she does have something to do with her being too obsessed with her hot sauce. She loves hot sauce like it's her water source. One time, we were talking about how mrfe is soo obsessed with chocolate milk and that Singelli had milk at her home. We were talking about how much chocolate syrup is mixed with milk to make it good (or something like that)...well, I joking dared Singelli that since she loves hot sauce soo much that she should mix hot sauce with milk....and to my discomfort, she actually did it and chugged it down.

Really, really gross...

play4fun:  Well, do you have a better answer for yourself?  XD  LOL

I knew you were going to use that example... I just have one correction to make.... it was hot sauce and
chocolate milk that I mixed together.  About half a cup of chocolate milk and maybe 6-8 tablespoons of hot sauce.

Good times... good times.

earthwarrior : I am currently working part time as a sales associate at Home Depot (I sell floors). But this summer I will be undergoing intensive training and hopefully be hired as a Physics teacher in a high school. What I like to do is maybe go have more time to play some sports, going to the beach or hiking trips, go watch the upcoming highly anticipated movies. You know, stuff like that.

marcus047 : I will answer the staff part only because I am working on a thread about what it takes to write a good review soon.

I don't know if I can say a good "pros and cons" considering that I just became staff. One thing might possibly is that all eyes would be watching you, which can be a pro or a con depending on how you do as a staff. You have a little bit more ability and power to do in the forums, but it also demands you to do more for the site. At least for my current role, it's not too bad. I like to review stuff anyways.

oh man, there were a few questions here, weren't there?  Sorry guys, about forgetting to answer!  I had a pretty week which included (sadly) the loss of my student teacher.

earthwarrior :  I've only ever had very few summers free as a working adult.  My first three summers as a teacher, I spent taking classes to get my master degree and attending workshops meant to provide teachers professional development.  I think, in fact, that last summer was my first free one.  Thus, it's kind of hard to answer 'what do you do during the summers?"  Mainly, I think I relaxed last summer. If my memory serves me correctly, my husband and I went down to spend much of the free time with his parents, where we played board games and watched TV.

What would I -like- do do during the summers?  Oh boy!  I'd like to go on long road trips, camp, hike, and basically just explore the world around me. I'd like to read, crochet, backpack across wild terrain.....

There's sooooo much I'd like to do!  ^.^  Due to money and other real life issues, I think most of the things I like to do will always be just that: things I like to do.  I foresee my summers as being full of crocheting, vizzed, and writing/reading.  Sorry.  I guess I'm kinda boring.

thenoobtester:  Your first question provide me with a little internal conflict.  See, I've wanted to teach since I was about five years old.  I had big dreams about a teaching career and was absolutely eager and desirous to work in the classroom.  However, after five years of it?  I have to say that it is probably one of the MOST stressful jobs a person can have.  I feel like I want to rip my hair out most days, and the corruptness of the system is more than enough to make my heart race.

However, there is always THAT kid who says 'thank you'...... who seems to make everything worth it.  I'd say that I LOVE teaching.... but I'm not too keen on being a teacher in the public school system.    It's almost like facing 364 days every year being buried under stress and having your hands tied behind your back.... and then having one day that makes you say "Yeah, that was totally worth it."

Right now, I teach 10th and 11th graders.  Next year, however, I'll be teaching freshmen.  As far as my teaching style goes, I like to set very high standards for my students, but I don't abandon them with those standards and wish them good luck.  I mainly lecture, though I don't like to.  I believe that students are more likely to learn when they are actively engaged, so I usually do a lot of talking while allowing my students to come to the board.  I usually guide them into their own decisions by asking them questions.

For example, I might have Sue come to the board to learn about solving equations, and I'd ask her or the class a bunch of questions.  "What are we looking for in this problem?"  "So if we're looking for x, why can't we say the problem is complete as is?"  "Ah, so we need to get x by itself? But how can we do that?" etc etc.  Unless a concept is brand spanking new, I find that most kids really can logically get through something if the teacher simply asks the right questions.

I do give homework on almost a daily basis, and usually consisting of around 20 problems.  And I actually gave a project this year!  That was a first in a couple of years, because projects for algebra II are simply hard to come up with.

Did you.... really ask me if I could enjoy mountain climbing?!?!  Like, do you even -know- me?  LOL
YES!  In case that wasn't bold enough,
YES YES YES! I can't tell you how awesomely thrilled I would be, to be able to scale a mountain.  We did some 'hiking' up in Alaska, and though those hikes were up mountains, I wouldn't really call it 'mountain climbing'.

See, I guess I'm a wannabe adrenaline junkie.  Jason is too paranoid to let me live out those fantasies.... but I would adore to do at least one of them.  Out of all the crazy things I want to do, mountain climbing is certainly a feasible one.

And yeah, I heard the song when you first posted it on your profile. haha.  (No, not stalking!  Not me! Never!) It's alright, but I'm not so sure I'd listen to it by choice.

As for you acronym, I have no idea. I actually wanted to try and figure it out, but after being away for three days, I'm feeling far too lazy to even make an attempt.  When you first posted it though, the thought that came to mind was "Would you rather teach them geometry.... bla bla bla bla..... WHAT?!"
