I'm surprised I got any points at all. I'm starting to realize that I jump the gun a little bit in answering some of these questions, but I'm happy that I at least got something write. I don't feel so ignorant now.

I'm actually surprised about everyone getting Rahab right.  That was just my 'last option', but I seriously felt it was wrong. I thought I remembered Rahab a little differently, and so I was thinking I MUST have gotten another one wrong, even though I was fairly certain about the others.  I stayed on the page for quite some time because of it. Rahab totally threw me off, and now I want to go read about her.

In any case, I don't know if the topic was a subtle message to someone or not... but the idea was nice whether or not my suspicion is correct.

Singelli : Rahab is the woman who hid the two spies that went into Jericho. She was saved from Joshua's invasion into the walls of Jericho by tying a red cord at the window as a sign that that is where they live.

The introductory message was actually thought of for a long time. It was originally going to be the 3rd question of the month and I was trying to consider what is either a random way or bizarre way to start a question. A lot of people in this world tend to think that that statement is rather promiscuous or flirty and that the person doesn't really mean it, but it can genuinely mean in a good way, and I feel that guys shouldn't be afraid to tell girls that they are pretty. Obviously don't do it like randomly or do it to send hints. I'm talking about genuine encouragement to a lady person (doesn't have to be a significant someone if you don't have one) that they are beautiful and through that glorify God for His wonderful creation.

I mean what I say, but I also want to see how many people actually ask about that statement, think differently to what I say, or even freak out a little, thinking that I meant something else. It was kept short and simple for that reason.

11. I loved my New Testament Lit class in college. It was basically an introduction class to the backgrounds and contexts surrounding all the events in the New Testament. These topics really expand our understanding of the meaning as well as the study and interpretation of NT rather than just plainly reading the Bible. One of the things that I remember from my professor is that "If you don't remember anything in the gospels, remember this [location], because this is where we hit the climax of Jesus' story. It is at this point where we see that Jesus' popularity begins to fade, because of what He claims here. And all of this progresses to the cross."


What event is he referring to? He is referring to when Jesus was asking His disciples who people say that He was. Some said John the Baptist, some Jeremiah or Elijah, or one of the prophets, but Peter said that "He is the Christ, the Son of the living God". Remember that event described in 3 of the gospels? Since my prof was talking about a location, this is where your question comes in. Name the location where Peter confesses that Jesus is the Christ. Yesterday I mentioned how Hoochman enters the top 5. Well, now he is threatening the 4th spot with mrfe following behind him. Thing1 is moving up the ranks, but be careful..when Eva returns, she can be a force to be feared. Also, to those who are trying to figure out a way to catch up, stay tuned, for I will be implementing a new feature in this competition real soon that may change the tide of the standings in this competition. (Mysterious, I know, but it is going to make this competition a little interesting and anyone, including pokefreak and thing1, can somehow pop into first if the leaders in the standings slip at least once.)

12. I wrote a paper in college about how you can understand the differences between the 4 gospels in the New Testament just from the first chapter of each book. I actually posted it in the forums and those who want to check it let can do so. Anyways, the differences in the gospels are related to what the author want to convey about Jesus and they use certain events to demonstrate their theme/purpose. Some of them have this miracle, some of them don't, some of them have this event, some of them don't. You noticed that? Today, we will test your attentiveness of noticing those differences. 

There will be 12 descriptions (in separate pages) in this quiz. For each description, select whether that description is in the book of MATTHEW, MARK, LUKE, JOHN, or ALL. For every one that you get right, +5. For every wrong, -5. Bonus points for the time remaining divide by 3. The quiz has a 3 minute time limt. For the sake of making this slightly easier to get everything right, I am ONLY giving the choice of ONE of the gospels or ALL of the gospels (and not like 2 or 3). REMEMBER, once you clicked submit for one of those descriptions, you cannot go back to it, so when you answer each description, be very sure that that is your FINAL answer.
