Megaman by far, more things he can do and if you argue on the fact that it is platform style well think again because Megaman Legends is an RPG type and it's 3D for the PS1, great game both Legends 1 and 2.

And hey Rudy742, if you don't mind about not getting the original, you can get 1-8 in Megaman Anniversary Collection along with 2 unlockable Megaman Fighting games that were only in Japan for a while. He's a robot with super strength, plus he outlives them all.

With their first powers / equips, Mega Man would also win. His buster rips through metal robots, a metal shield and flesh arn't going to stand up any better.

With all their power ups, Mega Man has a sheild, about 60-70 powers, a robot bird that can rescue him from any fall and peck enemies, a robot dog that he can combine with to fly, and the most awsome power, ROCKET PUNCH!
