I apologise if this post is in the wrong place, but I just have a quick question.

I am in the process of buying a new computer with the following components:
-MSI Intel H77MA-G43 socket 1155 motherboard
-MSI GTX660 OC, 2GB graphics card
-Corsair XMS3 8 GB DDR3 1600 memory
-Intel Core i5 3570, 3.4GHz CPU
-Deepcool IceEdge 200T 2200rpm CPU fan
-LG GH24NS90 super multi DVD write/read drive
-LG 21.5 inch full HD monitor
-Cooler Master QuickFire mechanical USB keyboard
-Cooler Master Recon USB gaming mouse
-2 x 7200rpm 500 GB Seagate hard drives

I will also be connecting a Logitech Z-Cinema sound system via USB to the PC.
Now the PSU I'm planning to use with this system is a CORSAIR GS500, 500W (12V:468W).
I have done an online check, by more or less specifying the components to see if this power
supply will be sufficient, but I don't know how accurate it is.
I'm pretty sure the power will be sufficient, but I just want to be 100% sure, so if I can get anyone
that knows about this stuff thoughts please.
Thanks!

I ran it through http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine and it seems that 500 will be plenty. You may want to run the test yourself, as you know your products better than I do. (like how many fans there will be on the case, if you overcocking the CPU, etc).

Best of luck.

You can probably get away with 500W safely so long as you're not planning on doing overclocking or adding a bunch of external devices that also need to draw power.

It's actually kind of hard to use over 500W of power in a standard desktop.
