I don't think so either and if video games did motivate them or put some sort of thought into them that that is the way of life and using guns or firearms then that is the parents fault for making it accessible and therefore they are the ones to blame for their child's violent actions. I don't really play any super violent shooting games myself, but I really don't see what is wrong with it as long as they are the appropriate age to play it, I think it is fine otherwise. But some kids with a tough family life may turn to video game to learn from and it can drive them to do bad things like some go to school with a gun and they put everyone at risk that is the sort of stuff that can happen.

I seriously doubt that it causes any real violence at all. I can play reasonably violent games without feeling any real rage or other effects. Violent video games may get certain people a little weird, but not to the point that it causes them to do a violent act. Unfortunately many politicians (Joe Biden comes to mind) and organizations won't lay off of violent video games until some clinical research proves them wrong.

This is the biggest thing I don't like about what politicians and the media says about kids learning violents through video games, um, do they (politicians) have a brain in their heads, because ain't kids and adults been violent well before video games even existed.

I think I might be jumping on a bandwagon of what has already been said ( haven't read this entire thread), but it's not video games that influence kids. It depends on what the kid thinks of the game they're playing. The could be very intellectual and play a violent video game just because it's fun -- and not regard the violence as something they'd do in reality, then there could be kids who play violent video games and think "I'm going to do this in real life".

You can't say it's the same for every kid.

Kids do not make video games more violent.
And vice versa.

Anyways..no, video games do not do so. What violent video games actually do, however, is desensitize people to violence, but that does not make them violent.
