Fire pokemon, specifically Typhlosion. I love it because it can learn moves like thunder punch and earthquake but it still pwns with its normal fire attacks. I'm not too fond of any other fire starter because they always have an extra weakness. Charizard has flying making him vulnerable to lighting and rock and Blaziken and Infernape both have fighting making them vulnerable to psychic and flying. I don't want my fire type to have any extra weaknesses.

Water-type Pokemon all the way!! They are very versatile, and some are quite fast and can even use Ground-Type moves, like Earthquake or Dig, that way they can take out Electric-Type Pokemon. They can use Ice Beam to take out Grass, Dragon, and Flying Pokemon as well. If you can use them correctly, then you should have absolutely no problem with any type of Pokemon. Besides, my favorite is Blastoise.

But yeah, Water Pokemon rule
