I didnt do my research on ray lewis, I just remember hearing he got charged, but not convicted of a double murder. The first time I heard this was just last week. I don't know any details about it though.

So will tebow become the jacksonville quarterback?

Will gonzalez or moss return for one final crack at a super bowl?

how will da bears off season play out?

how will the jets season play out?

bobq : I heard that Jacksonville isn't interested in Tebow. That really stinks, cuz I might have gone to a jaguars game if he was going to be the starting qb there.

Gonzalez? I think Roddy will convince him to come back, but it's probably his last year. I hope he comes back, he's my fav TE!

Bears just stunk last year. They need to make quite a few changes in order to make the playoffs next year. I expect they'll try for a QB (maybe tebow, but probably not), and a better Tight End. But who knows, really? They also need to work together better, that could spell the difference between superbowl and 7-9. Just saying.

Jets? They stink worse than the bears did. I think they need to get a QB. Not a sanchez, but a real qb. Even Cutler would be better than Sanchez. There's alot they need to change. They will probably do a little better next season, but it'll take more than one year to make the changes they need to make. Jets=8-8.

Opinions on where Tebow's heading?

Some plot lines I will be considering this off-season

Rule changes will keep coming, what rules (if any) are going to further limit punishment potential.
Will the league continue to move toward more Dual Threat QB's as opposed to true Pocket Passers
Reggie Bush, Miami says they aren't going to keep him, where does he end up?
Greg Jennings, looks like he will be leaving green bay for sure, where does he end up?? Miami, pfft.
Does Tony Gonzalez actually retire? We know Ray Lewis did.
(Since I am a Titans fan) Does Gregg Williams blow up the Tennessee Defense? Or help them cut their 474 points allowed down?
Does the KFC game day bucket actually go "boom"?

Anyways, I am a newbie to the boards, but I have been studying the game of football since I could think. Answer these with your own thoughts if you shall, and realize too, these are but just a few of the ideas I came up with while I was sitting here watching "Americas Game: 2010 Green Bay Packers" with my hometown kid Aaron Rodgers (as a hush fell on the crowd for no one knows where Chico is...)

bobq: Tim Tebow going to Jacksonville? I do not know. As far as I am tracking, doesn't he have another year with the Jets as Sanchez's counterpart?

I do not think Gonzales or Moss are going to come back. However, what I would like to see is them get put on the same team, preferably the Ravens, even though we are already set, and just straight up open up a can of whoop-*** on everybody they see. That would be awesome.

The Bears? I do not know. I do not follow them enough to be able to say much other than they are not as good as their older teams were.

The Jets? Again, do not follow them enough, but I do see Tebow staying for that other year on his contract. (that is, if he has another year on it.)

mrfe: I think Tebow is going to be staying with the Jets, like I have been saying. He might get traded next year. I have heard rumors that if he does not get picked up after this contract, he is going to head to Canada to play in the Canadian Football League, where they have a lot of interest in him.

tehcaffiend: I do not see anymore rules being changed. What else could change, to be honest? Higher fees? That is about it.

I think the league will continue to move towards duel threat QB's... they have been getting away from the traditional style quarterback these past few years. As a matter of fact, to be considered successful in today's NFL, you have to be mobile.

I did not know about Reggie? I see him being picked up by a team that needs  RB for a couple of years, but still only improving their record by a few years.

I do not know about Greg Jennings. I did not know he would be leaving Green Bay.

Tony Gonzalez? Don't know, yet again. I think he will come back for one more, hopefully, get put on the same team as Moss, and them going ham on everybody.

I think Gregg Williams helps the Tennessee Defense.

Yes... yes it does go BOOM!!!

Who did they loose.
Just heard Tony Gonzales has a 50/50 chance of coming back.
I sure hope he does, being a Falcons Fan.

Wow Elpizo, you must really follow the NFL. I think the falcons will take Eddie Lacy, saying he is the number 36.

So... According to Sports Illustrated on Facebook... Alex Smith might not stay in San Francisco next year. Any ideas where he might end up? I think he will get traded before his contract is up, legally, he will get traded for a first or a few late round draft picks.

I think that he will get sold to the Chiefs. At least he is better than Quinn and Castle.

NeonQ : True, he is better than Quinn or Castle... but I don't think he'll go to the Chiefs. Maybe over to the Browns. That would be fun, with me being a Ravens fan, and my Dad being a Steelers fan. XD

Well its official. Alex Smith is a Kansas City Chief. Chiefs gave up their second round pick (which is the 34th overall pick) and a future draft pick in the 2014 draft.

Overall I think San Francisco got the better deal. The Chiefs gave up a second round pick that they could get some 1st round talent, and instead they get a QB that is coming off a concussion and lost his starting job.

Of course we won't know if this was a good trade until next season.

Oldschool41 : I mean, Alex Smith is pretty good though. I think the 49ers are doing all right by sticking with Kapernick. He did a heck of a job, and almost brought the 49ers back for a whoopin in the Super Bowl against my boys. I think it's a pretty even trade. It really depends on who the 49ers draft with those draft picks those. I am surprised that they only took a 2nd round pick a ONE future 2014 pick. That's seems a little low from my perspective, seeing as how Alex Smith is pretty darn good, even if he did loose his starting job because of a concussion.

Just to say, I told you all that Alex Smith would go to the Chiefs. I think the Chiefs got the better end of the deal. The 49'ers are lucky to get a second round pick because when the 49'ers got rid of Alex Smith, they opened up a lot of cap space. Both teams got a good deal in this trade but the Chiefs got a starting QB. I am a Chiefs fan so I am happy. I want to hear from a 49'ers fan.

Joe Flacco.
$120.6 Million dollars.
6 years.
I mean, he's a good quarterback, but come on.  He isn't the most elite quarterback in the NFL.  They could have spent less and maybe gotten more players around them.  If this prevents Ed Reed from coming back this will be a horrible deal.

Now Joe Flacco is the highest paid QB in history, or as I think.
Here comes the draft who do you think the Chiefs will pick now because they have a QB?

So... What do you think of atlanta releasing michael turner? I think they've lost their marbles, but I don't know too many details. Atlanta = superbowl 2013-2014.

The Flacco signing is ridiculous. He got them to the Super Bowl, and didn't throw an INT in the playoffs, but he's not to the point of being paid this much. Brees, Brady, and Payton Manning are elite. He's on a team that plays defense first. And Atlanta actually released  a corner back and a outside lineman also. Haven't seen much of the Falcons, but I thought that Turner was a good RB. I don't think that was a good choice, unless they are thinking that they have already signed Reggie Bush or something. Or do they already have another RB?

I think that the Joe Flacco deal was just crazy. When I heard about that I knew that the Ravens were super serious when they gave that huge contract to him. This was just crazy, way to much for one players. Second, the Falcons made a good move sending off these players. The Falcons need to bring back Tony in order to do good with the bad defense. The Falcons now have the worst pass rush in the NFL, that is what they need to work on the most. The Falcons need to get a good pass rush and defense in order to win 10 games. They will need to improve a lot to go to the NFC title game and to get to the Super Bowl, but to get to the Super Bowl you will need to get a lot better roster on the defensive side of the ball. In the draft the Falcons need to get a need not a want. Getting wants insted of needs is what gets you on the side of the street. The Falcons should look at the free agents for a TE. Don't get a TE for your 1st round pick, find someone in the draft for your defense or get the best running back. Overall the Falcons will need to get a lot of better players than the ones they let go of. Now the Falcons have enough cap space to get some good players to help them out. Do you want to know what the Falcons don't need? The Falcons better not get a QB or a WR. If the Falcons pick up someone who plays at these positions I would be so mad. If I was the the Falcons I would take Eddie Lacy for my first round pick. He is a great running back out of Alabama. He may the next rookie sensation because it will not be Leon Sandcastle. Just to say, everyone who watches Football, and is on vizzed, needs to watch the NFL draft. We all need to know what will happen. To all of you, thanks for reading!
