Davideo7 : I guess I should use the term "newbie" loosely... I joined at the end of September and was only technically a "Newbie" in status for the rest of that month (give or take a couple days) and if I recall correctly, the TDV started at the beginning of October was it? So I would have JUST gained Member status right before the contest began if I'm remember right.

thudricdholee : I guess it is harder now that I'm a mod than it was my first time around. Plus I admitted was a LITTLE less responsible with my posts... I mean, I never outright spammed or anything... but I did probably force in posts in whatever new thread just to place at times even if it was an old thread that someone bumped up. This time around, it'd feel wrong for me to piggyback on a necropost... so I'll probably avoid stuff that should be posted in in the first place.

thudricdholee takes a huge lead

I didn't even think I was competing for the yellow jersey. Wasn't a very close second, but it was second.

Well I was hoping to compete better yesterday but I had things come up in the evening and wasn't able to spend any time on Vizzed when it had the most traffic in the forums.

I find it humorous that I'm tied for first for the Green Jersey for the month, yet I haven't held the actual Jersey yet. I'm sure this happens from time to time. I just found it interesting.

I wasn't expecting to see my name ._. I figured people would beat my latest post by a longshot. Oh well, I'm glad I got 3rd, sorry Mother3fan

I'm inclined to disagree with you two in regards to your discussion above.

When I was a mod it was way easier to post because it was my job to know what was going on in the entire forum.

Now that I'm no longer modding, I find I have retreated from some... boring parts of the site in favor of my rented forum and a few choice threads.

I also find myself grasping to find anything to add to a conversation since I'm no longer one of the first to get to a topic. As a result it's forced me into the stage between "I don't feel like posting" and "there's nothing to post about."

So now I just make an occasional joke thread for my own amusement.

legacyme3 : I think it works both ways. Yes, as a mod, I'm seeing more threads... but I'm not REALLY posting more unless I'm posting that the thread's being closed. A "this thread is closed" message doesn't take 30 words either so there's no Green points in that.

The TDV gives me more mod work to do... but being a mod isn't making it easier for me to post during it. This may just be because I was less responsible when I was new than I am now as a mod and like I said, I avoid contributing to threads I know to be spam.

As a mod, I more post out of necessity than desire, if that makes any sense. Basically I post because I have to and I post when it's part of my responsibilities. I don't get in a lot of posting that's adding to conversation or really get to enjoy as many nice discussions.

Also, you were a global, which encapsulated the entire forum. I only have power in about 9 sections (at least two of which get absolutely no activity), so that's where my attention is going. I have to check those first and foremost and worry about other threads in other sections later if I get to them.

True enough but I was also talking about my time as a local when I had 6 forums.

I never really found myself posting out of necessity so to speak. I always told myself that the moment posting became a chore and led to more work than play that I would quit. Of course it never got to that point for me.

It may have helped that I was a wiseass when it came to closing threads. I would make that part of my job fun

Good game so far, glad to be participating in this one.

I already can tell from looking at the tour de vizz results so far this is gonna be a close and long competition I don't think no one doesn't want to lose this one

alexanyways reclaims the lead

I can't believe Iam doing so well especially this early I thought it would be much harder

See what happens? Go to the hospital and miss a day and loose your rainbow jersey. I'm surprised I"m still in second overall though, I figured I'd fall further than that.

Sometimes life has to throw us a curveball. That's just the way the cookie crumbles. If I was ti end up with the rainbow jersey which I doubt, it would be the biggest surprise since I don't really care much for posting which would make the blue jersey a bigger surprise if I won it. 37 30+ word posts in an hour is unreal.

I may very well DQ today. I only had an hour of availability before work... so obviously all my posts came in that hour. I just got back and now I need to get to 23 (I think) posts before the hour is up or I'll get DQ'd for having half my posts be in the same hour x.x

Tdv is getting harder and harder each day I don't know how much longer I can do this Iam exhausted which is not a good sign I wonder when I will get a break
