I've tested the M,S, and D MAME games nearly completely, but the S and D games still contain a few missing chd's.  I'm going to list all the S and D games left,  I know all the D games require a chd, but I'm only 99% certain all these S games need chds.  There were so many S games that I might have forgotten to mark one or two after I tested them.  Hopefully though, that doesn't happen at all, or very few times, in this list.

I accidentally marked this game as a loading error.  However, it's missing a chd.  I don't think it will work even if you add the chd though, because mamedb says it has 0 players, and '0 players' has always meant the game didn't work, from my experiences.

Singelli : I believe I've had games work when mamedb says 0 players, if I remember correctly. Just thought I'd mention that. I don't remember which games though.

Man, I need to get testing again. lol.

Singelli : As I mentioned before, we won't know until the CHD is added if the game will work or not.

tRIUNE :  Yeah, I wasn't thinking, and that's why I tested it even after marking it.  I didn't want to mark it as 'working' though, in case it DOESN'T work, so that's why I listed it here instead.

Singelli : I understand; no problem. I'll just leave that page as not having a play game link until I test it with the chd. Perhaps we should remove all link to play game which require a chd? I have a list of known games.

tRIUNE :  Would there be a quick and easy way (automated) to do that?  If so, it'd be kind of awesome.  LOL  It'd keep game testers from spending time unnecessarily checking those games.

Of course, the bad part would be that you would then be the only one testing those games.  I guess that's not any different from now though, right?

If it's not possible to automate such a thing, I don't think it's worth it.  It's not like coming across them is some huge hassle or anything.

Singelli : It could be automated with a script if I give Davideo the site.

I had just thought to go through each game individually and remove the links -- not a big deal for me, might take no more than a couple hours depending on site speed.

tRIUNE :  But then what would be the point?  That would just create more work for you.  LOL  I'm not down with anything that causes you to do more work.

djbdock : None of those need CHD files, but they weren't working because they weren't assigned as clones. I've done that now, also listed instructions on the game page for one of them, Cruis'n World -

"Must calibrate controls with 'Test Button' before playing. To do so tap the F2 key and then the Esc key."

wanna play rastan mame arcade, but says error files are missing!!! canot play it!! does it needs CHD files??

kikeboy : The problem was that the Sega Master System and Arcade versions of that game were sharing the same file name, so because of that, if you played one of them (in your case, the SMS version) then the other version wouldn't load. I've corrected the problem, however, you'll need to delete the SMS file from your Plugin Data Folder.

Delete the file Rastan from the Downloads folder (refer to 1st post) and then both versions should load for you.

tRIUNE : hello!!! I don't know if  I can play tekken 4, cause I allready delited the old version on my vizzed retro plugin folder on my computer!! I believe so!!! but do I need to play this game using the CHD file!!?? cause says that it doesn't worck with retro plugin!! right?? thanks I hope you can help me play it!!! have a good day!!!

kikeboy : Unfortunately that game doesn't work with the RGR Plugin; wish I knew of a way to make it work.

Red Earth (Euro 961121) is missing a chd.

Singelli : Red Earth's CHD was a small file so I've added it now. This page will list the known arcade games in the R section of the library:

If there are others that you come across while testing them in the RGR, list them here. Those others you listed in a previous post a while back I have sadly not even tested yet because the file size is huge and will take about an hour for each game with my upload speed.

I will eventually upload the CHDs for them, I kinda forgot about this thread until your post just now.

There's so much to cipher through!  this way at least, I won't have to keep bugging you about stuff like this.  I guess it wan't so bad in THIS case since it reminded you of this thread.  ^.^
