I've tried attending a couple of the clubs available at the college campus but I just don't have time in my life, due to having to work.

Is there anyone in college that's doing the entire deal; clubs, activities, and all that?

I'm not sure exactly how busy you are, but I think I can relate. I'm
currently a junior Civil Engineering major and I do several hours of
work-study each week in addition to my school work (which can be
very time-consuming sometimes). As far as clubs go, I'm the secretary
of the Math Club and a member of our chapter of ASCE (American
Society of Civil Engineers). Being a part of these clubs is not very time
consuming (generally not more than an hour a week). Being an officer
in Math Club gives me insight into how a group is organized. Being
a member of ASCE provides me with networking with other
engineers if I put in a little extra time, which can be very
valuable. Overall, I'm very happy that I'm a part of both clubs.

Other than these two clubs, I participate in IM soccer
each spring. This is slightly more of a time commitment
because the games are at night when I'm normally doing
homework. However, it helps to motivate me to get my work
done before the game starts and therefore I tend to use my
time more wisely. Additionally, it forces me to get regular
exercise -- something that I generally do a poor job of doing.

I would definitely recommend that you join some sort of club, as long as it does not require large amounts of time every week. I don't think it matters much I you choose an academic club like I did or one that you just do for fun. Both have benefits, and I've found that these benefits make it worth it to spend an hour or two (or perhaps even more) each week doing club activities.

Well, I am in the Spanish 2 and the art club, but we don't meet very often though. Other than that I am in all advanced classes which are actually really easy to me, and I also have 1 AP Human Geography class that I am taking, and it is college level, and I have an 86 in it currently, and it is weighted 10 points. I have an exam in that class for the end of the year and it is based on a 1 to 5 scale, and passing is 3, but I want to get a 4 because if it is good, then I will be able to receive the college credit from the class, or else it was all for nothing, so I am studying for the 75 question test to get a 4 on it. I want to be on the soccer team next year if I can, and I also planned all advanced classes for my sophomore year as well, and another AP class, but this time it is World Geography. So yeah I am aiming for an advanced diploma which requires 26 credit I believe. I don't know what clubs are available next year, but  depending on if they are good or not I may join.

I'm a columnist/writer/copy editor for my university's newspaper. The demand the paper has differs from semester to semester. I went from being a bi-weekly columnist, to weekly columnist to summer editor of the opinion section. I've only copy edited once a week for the past two semesters, but I now plan on being in the offices every night we go to print or have online nights.

I edit on the side for a online historic journal. Even though I felt like my columns for them were lackluster, I'm now their lead columnist. The fun part of this experience is that I've never met anyone besides the editor in chief in person, or have gone to any of their meetings since they interfere with class or copy editing.

I also am apart of the Creative Writing club, but I kind of want to drop it, but if I do, it'll offend the other two officers. But I really have no interest in being involved anymore, especially if they're moving it off campus.

Between 16-18 credit hours, 12-16 hours of work a week, I really didn't headstrong and join other clubs. My evenings are always booked, between copy editing or 6pm classes, but there are a few clubs I want to get involved in this fall.

Bio Ethics Bowl sounds like fun. While I dislike public speaking, I'm willing prep/train others for competition. I would also like to get involved with our education abroad offices/international community for my minor/wanting to study abroad in a year or so.
