I love Pokemon of the past, but Gen V ruined it for me. I don't necessarily "hate" Gen V, but as a certain YouTuber once said... well, I don't remember what exactly he said, but basically it was "It used to be 150, now it's 600+." Some see that as an upgrade, I see it as the same thing Mario has: too much. You know, like how Mario has Mario Party, Mario Kart, Mario Tennis, Mario Strikers, etc.. Pokemon has Gen III, Gen IV, and Gen V, when I would've been happy with just Super Mario and Gen I and II.
The bad thing about my Pokemon-loving is that I never actually played a Pokemon game outside of RGR except Pokemon Snap, which was once one of my favorite games, by the way, and kind of still is.
Oh, and if "Pokemon is for kids," let's see some Pokedex entries.

Yes, I do love pokemon. Been playing pokemon since elementary. Maybe not as often, but still do play. In maybe 2nd grade, a couple of friends and I would go to another friend's house to play pokemon-does add to the pokemon for little kids stereotype, but we were young kids at the time-and I had the rarest pokemon out of the 3,4 of us. Over time, I have become less fond of pokemon. 

Hoenn remains the favorite of pokemon gens because the pokemon were unique and not buidling off of a previous gen. Might I add the music was just epic... The gym leader music, the elite four music, the champion music, ALL EPIC. Then there is hg/ss music which isn't that bad. The elite four music, champion music, its decent. I also do enjoy the gen II's plot, and the fact that it builds off of gen I's journey, while still allowing you to face Red.

Gen V does challenge my enjoyment of playing pokemon, but just only slightly. After 4 generations of pokemon, I just didn't feel any originality or excitement playing. What was enjoyable about the game for me atleast was the number of legendary pokemon that could be obtained through normal gameplay. Zekrom, Reshiram, Kryuem, Terrakion, Virizon, Coballion, Volcarona, Landrous, Thundrous, Tornadous. It is an accomplishment to capture them all.

I love Pokémon,I'm a fan of the first 4 gens but Pokémon appearance  wise gen 5 kinda killed it but, B/W 2 offered a lot harder challenges especially with the e4 and the world championships.

I love the Pokémon games. I have yet to play a bad Pokémon game. Recently I got black 2 thinking I could never be as good as the classics I have played and loved since I was a kid. I popped it in the ds and it blew me away, I  wouldn't say its as good as red/blue, yellow, or silver. there are no other video game franchise that i can think of that has been consistantly good as pokemon.

Pokemon is well ok  Absolutely loved the original Pokemon Kanto reign. The show, the games, the toys everything was so great! Johto and Kanto reign were pretty good to. But the newer reigns like Sinnoh and Unova reign in my opinion  are just FAIL. Just the Pokemon themselves just don't seem as if they didn't put as much thought into them. And the show is just awful mainly just because Team Rocket isn't funny anymore.  But to make a long story short.  Original Pokemon mainly Kanto and Johto reign Love it Sinnoh up Hate it! >

I love pokemon, it was my first good video game. It's also a great RPG that allows many varied options to beat the game. It gives the ability to personalize your team so you can play your way. They're great games, I don't see why people claim they're for little kids, then again kids can play them! But teenagers and adults can play them too!
