Is it perfect.....no maybe a little dab of pain on that one spot.......hmmmm something still seems strange..........! um...how long have you been listening to me say that, ahh well doesn't matter.

Mario Paint is a game that had a very interesting concept  of using a Super Nintendo mouse made by Nintendo to play this game as it would be easier to draw with a mouse instead of a directional pad (D-Pad). However even though the title of this game is Mario Paint the game still had other features that you could play with as well. Such as a music maker/composer, a frame by frame animator, a fly swatter game, and a designing room where you could make your own design you wanted and could them paint or use it in animation or whatever you wanted. So that pretty much a intro to what Mario Paint basically is in a short condensed version but now let's move onto the review...that is if you haven't fallen asleep from my earlier history demonstration *laughs* I'm just kidding, what's a good review without some good humor right.

Graphics: 7.5/10

The games graphics are pretty good since it is a painting game and not an adventure or side-scrolling game like Super Mario World on the Super Nintendo (SNES). Now even though the games graphics them self aren't truly that great when they are just used alone, the real beauty of the games graphics come from the player themselves as they are the artists in this game and their imaginations are what create the beautiful graphics that can be made from painting, so mostly graphics wise falls on the player not the game 7.5 out of 10 is what I'd give for graphics wise.

Sound: 10/10

Unlike the graphics portion of the review the music that is in the game already is really great, my favorite of the 3 themes is the 3rd theme named "ethereal". But not only is the music that is already in the game great but when you're making your own music in the music maker/composer it sounds really amazing and makes you feel great knowing that you made the music that you're listening to and even greater is the fact that you can save you music you've made and then get it back by loading the data up when you last saved in the game.  A lot of thought went into this music when it was being made so 10 out of 10 is what I’m giving the game for sound.

Depth: 10/10
Mario Paint has so much you can do right when you turn the power button on, as you can already play around on the menu screen before you start the actual game.  You have 10 letters spelling Mario Paint and every single letter has something that happens whenever you click on it for example: The M letter will make Mario shrink in size as if he has been hit by an enemy. The P letter will make a new background appear over the plain white one and also has different music play in the background. Finally the T letter will make your mouse on the menu screen turn into a painting brush and you can color the background now if you wanted. THAT is only the icing on the cake, as this game still has much more to do, like I described in the sound part of this review you have a music maker/composer where you can make your own music and listen to how it turned out. Then you have the regular painting in the game where you can draw an image of what you want like if you wanted to draw Sonic or Mario and Yoshi. You also have an animation room where you can animate a scene that you want like Mario getting a 1-Up mushroom. Finally you have a fly-swatting game where the objective of each stage is to smack at the flies down and destroy the Mother fly or Boss fly whatever you wanna call it. A lot of ideas and enjoyment were poured into the making of this game and it came out perfectly, to me the depth of this game deserves a 10 out of 10.

Difficulty: 2/10

Really should be unknown rating cause the difficulty of using a Super Nintendo mouse differs from each person that plays it. To me it is really easy to use but the only thing I dislike is that sometimes the mouse just slides all the way down the screen and then you have to move it back to where you had it last. It's annoying but not difficult so 2 out of 10 is what I would personally rate here.

Story: BLANK

There is no story to this game as you just start painting when you start the game, I mean it is possible to make your own story for this game such as: One day Mario decided that he wanted to work on painting, music, and animation. Too bad that poor old Mario failed all the classes during kindergarten so he needs your help, he needs you to make amazing paintings, amazing music, and amazing animation for him so he can succeed as a painter, musician, and animator so what are you waiting for get a paint brush and start painting! But the game itself has no story so I can't leave a rating here so onto the next subject.

Addictiveness: 10/10

The addictiveness in this game is very high because I usually come back to this game 4 or 5 times a year cause I love making music in the music composer/maker. Plus usually when I play this game I spend about 5-6 hours creating all sorts of music, art, and animations which is funny to think that such a simple game could be such a great game to spend your time on and enjoy at the same time. If you don't believe me that this game can be addictive check out last months Sonic in Mario Paint images, it proves that people really like Mario Paint that much that they would put so much detail into their Images. Very addictive and A lot of fun 10 out of 10 is what I rate addictiveness for this game.

So that is Mario Paint a very interesting and innovative game by Nintendo especially with the Nintendo Mouse controller addition. Anyone that is looking for a game where you can create beautiful works of art, make your own music to show to others, and creating your own animations for entertainment purposes then this is a game that definitely won't let you down. Well time to get back to my painting now.....ok maybe his eyes could use a little more green.....nah I think it looks fine as it is right now. Time for you to become a MARIO PAINT ARTIST!
