I was trying to get more fun in Pokemon Pinball: Ruby And Sapphire, but I try putting in the infinite time codes for the catch/evo/bonus stages, but when I type the code, and the description, I hit the ok button, and it doesn't show the code I just activated. Any help? There's some problem with codes not showing on the cheats list of VBA v19.4. Can anyone help?

Are you still having a problem with this? Are you sure you're entering your codes correctly? Have you used the cheat option of VBA before and have been successful? You could try using an older/alternate version and seeing if that will take your codes in order to make sure the problem really lies with 19.5. I personally use VBA CE 1.0 which is a modification of version 1.7.2... so yeah... I haven't upgraded VBA in years. The one I have works perfectly, so why bother? It also accepts cheat codes so yeah...

You might just need to use a different version in order to cheat.

Crazy Li :
ecoe9900 : I was basicly typing in a code from the GBC version of the game into GBA, which made it invalid, and I did love the gba port better, although the broken tilt wasn't possible since you could easily keep the ball in play for a long time w/ the pichu saver slot. I used pokemon blue cheats, for infinite hp, and walking through walls. The walls code had a problem, if I went outside any house boundaries, the game would stop for a second, then crashes after the music started fading out for a second. It must think I am entering places invalid in the game by cheating. The infinite hp helped me beat the gym leaders early, but it was frustrating holding the fast foward button and quickly holding the turbo A button so I can do nothing but wait for the other pokemon to die. It was funny with the infinite pp code, too.

Yeah, you're gonna need to use the right game's codes for them to work. Codes for one version of the game aren't going to work in a different version. They'll more likely cause errors in the game because it's trying to manipulate date it shouldn't be.

Crazy Li : I found that the codes from the different version were somehow in the GBA version codelist, which was wrong. I don't know what site I got the wrong code from, but that was basicly a screw up the site did. I also agree with reading data it normally can't. It triggers crashes and does corruptions of graphics and rarely sound if done right in a corrupt program running on a game rom that is running on a emulator. Take the final zone of the Sonic 2 Nick Arcade Prototype for example. It tries to load up a flag that triggers the final boss in which the Nick arcade prototype was made off of the sonic 1 engine, which is what causes the purple screen since the coding wasn't valid for the sonic 2 engine part to check, and the sonic 2 part was checking for the sonic 1 code to trigger the flag, but it isn't there causing a purple screen freeze according to a YouTube comment I saw on a Sonic 2 Nick Arcade prototype video I saw before on YouTube.
