The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time was an amazing game, and when fans found out about Master Quests release things became more real. Master Quest essentially is the same game as Ocarina of Time, same story same script and same game engine, but the dungeons where designed to be much harder. Which I think was a real success, especially for those hardcore fans who loved the difficulty of the dungeons. Now before I go on to the actual review of this game I just wanted to throw something out there, back when Ocarina of Time was released Nintendo was working on an expansion for the 64 called the 64DD or 64 Disk Drive (which failed miserably on the market), and one of the expansions was for Ocarina of Time was under development called Ura Zelda. However, due to poor sales from the 64DD this expansion was later scrapped, and a lot of people think that Master Quest is Ura Zelda. Well ready for the surprise? It's not, Ura Zelda was just scrapped entirely, there may be some of the same components but overall Master Quest is just a harder version of Ocarina of Time.

Now that I have wasted your time with some pointless information lets move on shall we? I rated this game a 10, and to be honest can you blame me? This game was fun and entertaining had a wonderful story and was overall hard as can be. With characters such as Navi and Mido who could hate this game? Okay so the whole world may hate these two characters, at least I do, but you know you love Malon and Saria right? Anyway, the graphics I rated this game an 8 they where really nice and polished. Great for Nintendo 64 standards, to me though young Link seemed a little blocky along with other random characters throughout the game. As for the sound a perfect 10, I would rate way higher if I could. Let me just say this I love every bit of music from this game. They where played at the right parts and fit the mood perfectly.

I decided that I'm just going to group the next few ratings together in what hopes to be a super long paragraph, maybe the longest on vizzed. Now getting to the addictiveness, story and depth. I rated them all a 10, just like the sound. The addictiveness, when I first played this game I was about 10 years old maybe a little younger and was not allowed in anyway to stay up past ten, but when I was told to go to bed I actually put up a fit because I wanted to finish the game so badly. I usually never did that, I almost always went to bed when told too. So I guess you could say this game is the pure definition of the word addictive. The story, let me just say amazing. It hooks you and keeps you asking what happens next? Brief story review, the land of Hyrule has a legend about a mystical item known as the Triforce and with it if a person with a good heart makes a wish using the Triforce then the world will see world peace. However, if a person with an evil heart and evil intention's does the same then the world will become doomed. The Triforce is hidden in a place called the Scared Realm which is hidden from Hyrule, but there is a man from the desert who has figured out how to get to this realm and he seeks to take over the world. This causes Link to set out and stop this evil man from the desert. To me this sounds like it would make an amazing story, and it does. Now the depth, for those of you who have played and beaten this game you know that you will spend quite sometime playing this game. There are many places to explore and the game has so much to offer. There are hidden heart pieces all through Hyrule, many almost impossible to find it is always fun when you find one you didn't know about hidden in a spot you visited over six hundred million times. There is also a bunch of side quests you must take to get certain items, for example the gold skultula side quest, along your journey you will encounter golden spider looking creatures if you kill them you will be given a token if you collect ten you will get an adults wallet from the skultula house. You collect up to 100 of these and get something for your troubles every now and again. Now it is time to rate the difficulty and review it, 8 is my answer. This game was pretty hard, the dungeons in this game being different in the original are a little more difficult to get through and some have more enemies in them. While others have more traps. I guess that is all I can really say about the difficulty, and I suppose this is not the longest paragraph on vizzed. Oh well, it happens I tried.

Overall this is an amazing and terrific game, and personally one of my favorite games ever. It has amazing game play, replay value and of course music. I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes the Zelda series and to anyone who has never even touched the series I don't think you will be disappointed. However, I think that anyone who is new to the series should start on the original Ocarina of Time then try your hand at this one, unless you don't care and do it anyway. Anyway, have a great time in Hyrule all.

Beastmode64 : You also have to consider that you pretty much know the layout of the place and how to kill the enemies. Sure some of the layout has changed but in general you know where stuff should be so of course you should be able to beat a dungeon in a smaller amount of time.

XxEzraxX : Also great review man, you have a real talent for this and I can see why they made you into a staff member. I loved that they remade this game (twice now) and the improved graphics are just a bonus to an already great game. That's really all you could do to improve this game from my stand point because everything else is just perfect. Actually scratch that, I hate the owl, he's one of the more annoying characters in the Zelda series and wouldn't kind at all if they got rid of him

XxEzraxX: Awesome review, It is long and very descriptive great job! it's certianly no wonder why you got sight staff postition! I loved master quest, It was tough and I  even got stuck a few times in the Spirit and the Fire temple. (But for some reason the Water Temple was easier for me to complete in master quest then in normal quest. . .)

P.S. there is an Ocarina of time URA! It will be released by Zeth64 in a while, here look at this.

Beastmode64 : Thank you, when I first played Master Quest I thought it was going to be the most difficult game because Ocarina was kind of hard, but I got through it, I have to agree that RealBrickz if you know the basic layout of each temple it becomes a lot easier.

ZeldaFan97 : I have only played a little of the 3DS version, so I really couldn't tell you which was harder but it sounds like this one would be easier considering it is older and that tends to happen a lot.

RealBrickz : Thanks man, I try really hard on these. I'm hoping to expand more into different consoles and different games. Yeah screw that owl, I realize now that he is completely pointless lol

bombchu link: Thank you for the compliment and the info, I will definitely be looking out for that as soon as I heard about I was all over the Internet looking for at least a fan remake but couldn't find anything.
