Want to earn up to 50,000 Viz from recording videos? Than read on

For every 5+ minute video that you record using the RGR Plugin, upload to youtube and add to a game page on vizzed, I'll give you 250 Viz. If the video is uploaded to vizzed youtube page, you get an extra 250 Viz.

Be sure to let me know how many videos you did, how much Viz I owe you and you'll be granted the Viz. There's lots of things you could spend your Viz on, including the Netplay Item, Beta Test Ticket, and the Laptop item; go to the Item Shop accessories page for more information on these items.

Rules:
-Video must at least 5 minutes long to qualify
-You can earn up to 50,000 Viz doing this
-Each of your submissions either must be of a different level/location of the game or a different game all together. So for example, if you did 2 videos that both involved level 1 of Super Mario Bros, only 1 of those submissions would count. If you did 2 videos of different levels of Super Mario Bros, than it would count.

Bonus:
-You'll earn doubled the Viz if your video is longer than 15 minutes
-You'll earn tripled the Viz if your video is longer than 30 minutes
-You'll earn quadrupled the Viz if your video is longer than 60 minutes
(the bonuses wont count if your video and audio are out of sync; read below for more info)

So let's say that I record a video of LeZ; Majora's mask and it's the first 10+ minutes. Can I add it to my YouTube channel and make a series until I beat the game? Do I just leave a link to where the game is located on vizzed in the description? And if it takes me 2-3 videos to complete a location like the swamp or mountains is that ok? This seems like it's going to be awesome to do

Breakingpoint91 : Youtube lets you do videos up to an hour long so you can just do 1 video per a location and I'd count that. In fact, I'd give you a bonus for doing videos that long.

so if i were to do Pokemon: FireRed Walkthrough. i can submit as many videos as i need as long as its 10min and im actually doing the whole story line and what not? and not just the same thing every time. and also does the recorder record voice?

How shall we report our videos to David? Private messaging? Post them in this topic? And if the answer is the latter, should we just edit one post as we accumulate videos?

My video wouldn't upload and it was on all night.

I would love to share some of my awesomeness but I have a problem with uploading and downloading things. I have Hughes.net and so I have an "allowance" of 500mb of download/upload every day and if I use more then I have bad things happen so my question is thus: can I record my game-play without impacting my "allowance"?

Apparently, we are posting what videos we took here, so I suppose I shall as well.

Just added a video to "Super Mario Brothers 2 - Christmas Edition." I hosted it on my youtube account, and it is over 34 minutes long, so 500 vizz x 2 for being over 30 minutes should be 1000 Viz for me.

I would not have minded of putting it on the Vizzed youtube page TOO, but the recording was split into two, and I wanted to edit them together. When I did that, I could not find the way to post on the vizzed page as well.

I'm having a technical issue. My 10-minute video is taking a really long time to upload (it took 18 minutes just for it to get to 4%). Is this normal? And how can I speed up the process, if possible?

Does the recorder only record the sound or voice to?

getglazed : If you were to do a walkthrough, it'd be silly to break it into 10 minute segments. I prefer videos to not be in parts. The plugin does not support voice recording.

PhantomShuriken : You don't need a webcame, the RGR Plugin has built in video recording.

mrkool078 : That's normal depending on your internet connection. The video sizes are pretty big and usually an upload speed is way slower than a download speed.

Can you record with the mirror download? I had to use the mirror download for the latest plugin and the recording option isn't available. It was available for the last plugin but I didn't use the mirror download.

Davideo7 : Having some issues. I cannot upload videos to my youtube channel. When I try, it takes FOREVER. I let it got for 30 minutes, and when I checked on it, it was at 4% and estimated 1600 minutes longer to complete. So I tried to just upload it through Vizzed. When I clicked the tab to upload a video, I filled out the title and description. When I hit 'Step 2', this is what the page looks like for me:


It doesn't give me the option to select a video from my computer. The weird part is that it only does this for the one game I made a video for (which is battletoads and Double Dragons for the NES). I tried it for games I don't have videos for, and the screen for 'Step 2' asked me to upload a video from my computer. Any ideas what I can try?

rcarter2 : Probably something wrong in your description. For some reason, the character & can't be placed in descriptions, otherwise you get a page like the one you have.

   Would it count if I used the plugin to record the footage of me playing games then edited my footage in Sony Vegas Studios to create things like walkthroughs, video reviews, tips and tricks, and let's play videos?

I've got good news and bad news. Good news is I just saved a bunch...oh wait no wrong place. I have uploaded Part 3 of Final Fantasy 7 remake to Vizzed youtube, and added it to the page. Bad news is, I've had to reinstall windows cause my Laptop is failing. I had forgotten to back up the save state (not that I remembered where it saves to anyway) which means I have to restart again! =D. Thankfully I backed up Part 3. So, it's going to take a bit to get back to where I was. Good thing Final Fantasy 7 is my favorite game.

Davideo7 : Long time no talk. Good news though, my failing laptop is gone, and my new amazing custom computer build is here, which means I'm going to be getting back into let's plays soon. Hopefully my upcoming let's plays from Vizzed do as well as my others have. My Sonic the Hedgehog one is just under 2500 views now, and my columns video just passed 1000 views. This is a good site so I'm glad to give it a bit of exposure.

This is my first time using this new video recording stuff, so i just click start to record the video and then whenever i'm done recording i stop and then submit my video to the game page i'm currently on then come back to this thread to give a link to that video i recorded. right?

theweapon2 : You gotta upload it to youtube first, than you can submit the link of the youtube video to the game page.

Does this work for all the systems? I couldn't record with GBA or Sega games but it works with NES
