Do you ever get scared when you're home alone? I know I do sometimes. Like when you here a loud noise or when someone is knocking at the door.

Sometimes I get scared. But I hate being home alone I hate the feeling of emptiness.

Some times... Mainly because of loud noises.

But it happens only if I'm distracted with something else.

Maybe sometimes, when I play or watch something scary.. and the light is off while it's late out.. Well, you know what I mean.^^
But yeah. Loud noises can also scare someone very easily. I'm no fearful person, but it happened multiple times that I did got scared, when I'm home alone, it's quiet and suddenly the doorbell rings, for example. I guess everybody knows this feeling.

All the time. But I have a tenancy to play my scary video games when I'm home alone in the dark lol. Then when someone comes home they think I've gone crazy. When I'm not playing video games I get scared as well. That's probably why I play the scary ones at that time. So it gives me a reason to be scared. Houses always have a habit of making those freaky noises when no one else is around.

ImTheFoolHere : I think everyone goes through a period where they are a little afraid to be left alone when their young and it is really the first time that you’ve been left alone. As you get older though it’s not so bad and in fact in some cases you can actually grow to appreciate the peace and quiet. It’s beneficial for me being a writer to have some time to myself from time to time. It’s not that I’m not given privacy or anything but it’s just a little easier to focus (During periods when I am working) when it’s quieter and there is less distractions and or, noise.

I think it boils down to an individual for some being alone isn’t really a problem but for others it’s not real enjoyable. For me I appreciate the quiet time but one thing that I do end up worrying about more and more as I get older is the idea of ending up being alone but that’s not the same issue as what’s being talked about here.

Not really, people don't really scare, I've fought the biggest dudes before so that won't bother me. As for ghost or other scary type things, they wouldn't bother me unless theyre right up in my face I believe, then again I haven't really been put in that situation yet so I don't know how I would react. Also what bvd1022 said is true, I actually love the quite and I'm techniqually an adult now. Lol

All the time, every 30 minutes or so I'll walk around the house and open all the doors and turn on the lights, then I'll go back turn them off and shut the doors, I also check outside occasionally.  It doesn't help when I watch shows like paranormal witness or the haunted and read stuff on creepypasta.com - speaking of if you do check it out so should read candle cove, crazy stuff.  Usually I just sleep under the covers or light a candle,

I don't, usually, which is pretty stupid considering where I live.  I guess I've just lived here for so long that I tend to take my safety for granted.  I really should be more concerned with it than I am though.  I live in one of the most dangerous cities in our country, actually.  For example, I just learned yesterday that there was a robbery and shooting right NEXT DOOR a few days ago.  Our land lord advised us via a note in our mailbox to keep our doors locked and lights on.  I always do those two things, but I didn't really feel any fear.  Sadness for the victims of course, but no fear for myself...

I live in apartments so yes, I do get scared sometimes.  I admit, I get a little paranoid because of all the shootings on the news.  Plus, living in apartments where the doors provide two deadlocks.. it gets to me.  Now, if someone tries to come into my house I'll go all Home Alone on them!  But, to be honest I do get a little crazy when there's nobody around.  One time, I heard people running around the apartment screaming around midnight.  I immediately woke up from my slumber and I went out trying to be a hero.  Turns out it was just little kids being stupid around midnight.  Boy how I felt completely stupid!  Has anyone else had a similar experience?  If so, tell me!  I want to know!  -Xepheria

I used to get a little scared when I was alone at home. As time went on, I grew to be more independent and stopped getting scared at most of the things that used to scare me like solitude, darkness, strangers, and so forth. Now my only weakness is deep water.

I used to when I was about 11 but only for the first few day but now I actually prefer been on my own at home you will get used to it, but if you don't try putting the tv and radio on so there are more human voices in the room, you could also try exercising because it will distract you from feeling lonely

I never get scared when I'm home alone. I'm home by myself quite a bit, so I'm used to it, and I don't ever feel like I'm in danger or anything.

No I don't get scared.. but I get paranoid alot especially if the stove turns on again randomly when I'm making sure it's off and it almost could of set on fire.. and burned the house down. So I stayed up watching it all paranoid.... but I don't ever get scared.. I don't like the empty ness either but I don't get scared from a knock from the door.. usually I don't even hear it lol <3

 im home alone right now, but im more sad then scared.

Not At all to be honest.. I'm not scared of noise since i got noise in my ears all the time..
i don't feel scared if i hear things because most of the time your mind can be playing a trick with you.. If you fall in this trick you became scared.. And since i'm not scared it would be considered that i don't fall into my own mind's trap.

for my past as a child i was not really scared of being alone at home.. But i didn't like it either.. I was small and not to mention weak and thin. So i would be a easy pray for criminal activities. But lucky me that didn't happen ever in my life.
i was in fact scared in like back as a child... instead of being afraid of the dark.. I didn't like shadows that where reflected by light.. So i ALWAYS wanted it to be pitch dark.. While my 3 sisters where death scared in the dark.. So this was pretty hard..
i never really liked light to be honest.. My eyes are weak against sun light.. And i prefer have it dark then light.. But my problem is.. That i'm night blind.. lol. So i always have to watch (well feel..) my feets before making a step in the dark lol.. Lucky for me my sense of feeling is pretty strong.
in the past i used my ears.. But since they are damaged i can't use them for that purpose anymore...

People my age dont get scared. It is called instead being paranoid. And the loud voices aint that bad, its the small rattle in the corners that make you anxious.

Not really , unless it is dark then im scared .
