I tried to download Final Fantasy VII but then I realized it was in like 35 parts. I was wondering how you get the parts to work together into one disc. I know there are 3 discs but how do I get each disc to be created so I have the 3 discs and not 35 parts that I can't get to work. Also when I extract the files I must extract them again an dall of the files are named the same so I can't extract all of the files.

Please help me.

I'm new at this.

ok, first thing, you didnt need to ask this three times in different threads, just make this one since im answering you now, ok

download and make sure all the parts of final fantasy 7 disk 1 are in the same folder.
get winrar from http://www.rarlab.com/ and install it if you dont have it.
find the file thats called Final Fantasy VII [Disc1of3] [U] [SCUS-94163].part01.rar
click on that file with the right mouse button and choose extract here from the winrar menu.
DO NOT TRY AND EXTRACT FROM ANY OTHER PART.
i can not stress this enough, the only part you extract from is part 1.

one of two things happens after that.
either it makes another winrar file or it makes the game files.
if it makes another winrar file, find the new file it made. that file should be the largest in the folder.
click on that file with the right mouse button and choose extract here from the winrar menu.

then you will have the game files.
let me know how you go. by posting a reply in this thread please

You do post to level...but do NOT post just to level up or just to get Viz. It's against the rules. You should read the FAQ before posting again. I'm glad that FFVII is working for you now.

I have:
Pete's D3D Driver 1.77
Pete's DX6 D3D Driver 1.77
Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.77

Does it matter which one I choose?
I am using the first one atm.

Use the OpenGL one, OpenGL is just plain superior to DX6 and D3D.

Sry I took so long I was beating the first boss. XD

Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.77 does make it look a little less grainy but I still cannot see anything in the battle menu. All I can see is a little box with a number directly in the center of the battle menu.

in most cases the plugin doest matter, and also in this case it definatly doesnt matter.

the solution should be the following.
open ePSXe. click the word Config in the menu. click Video from the drop down list.
click the top Configure button (this is the button directly below the name of plugin) on the new box.
in the bottom left corner of the window/page that opens click the button that says Nice.
click the button that says ok then click the button that says ok on the box as well.

start the game and tell me if that worked.
also if it worked but the game seems a bit slow now switch to the DX6 plugin and repeat the steps above.

the OpenGL plugin is really only recomended for high end machines, thats why i normally say to use the DX6 one
