Boy, was it amazing! TASing is what I wanted to do back in the June of 2010, but neve learned how. I have Gens 11, and I started TASing "Sonic And The Secret Ectended Edition v4.2".

NOTE: Just cancelled my WIP TAS for the hack I was TASing for.

What does TAS mean, though? It stands for "Tool Assisted Speedrun", which is to play a game with inhuman skills and ultimate frame precision.

How to do a TAS? Here are the basics before you TAS a game:

1. Use frame advance and rerecords. (Very highly recommended in a TAS.)

2. Go to TASvideos and look for game tricks for TASing in the game resources section. If it is a NES/famicom game you are TASing, look in that section of resources. If it's SNES, same thing, and so on.

3. Download the ROM and emulator that are for the same system. (eg. Super Street Fighter II, download ROM to play on SNES emulator.)

4. Learn how to make a TAS movie with videos, then start TASing yourself.

Advanced tutorials for TASing: (not recommended for first time TASers)

RAM values

1. Look in a game resource page (eg. Sonic The Hedgehog) and look for useful values. (eg. Speed value for Sonic hacks.)

2. Search for values in RAM search.

3. Click the values you want to watch fir speed or something, then click watch.

4. Go to RAM watch, and you will see the values you are watching. It will show last number, recent number, and # of changes in the number.

If you ever want to upload a TAS to TASvideos, make sure that:

• It obsoletes the currently fastest movie for the game you want to TAS.

• Fill in ALL the info. Do what it says to type in for the various boxes.

That's all I have to say for now. If you want to TAS, I am always able to give you help.

Nice to know, Stevie...

I don't like TAS videos much... I always prefer to watch human skills at games, rather than inhuman skills.

However, it's funny to see a game under the effects of this thing, lol.
