We treat the TDV and the VCS similarly to each other, in that if you farm the 4 spam forums on site for posts, you aren't eligible to win in categories for the day.

The 4 spam forums are Crazy House, Vizzed Market, Polls and Questions, and Game Reviews. We find the spammiest posts tend to be in those forums, as the basic post in each forum seems to go along these guidelines.

Crazy House - LOL YOU WERE WRONG, I HIT YOU WITH CHAIR
Vizzed Market - I'm not interested in buying/selling, but good luck finding someone who will.
Polls and Questions - I like A, but B, C and D are also good!
Game Reviews - Nice review, I like "excerpt from review". It's a good game. (generally they add nothing to the conversation)

Generally we let the stuff pass in the first few days if the percentage is close, but some people had 50% of their posts in polls and questions, which is simply far too much. Posting is great, but as we say about CH and other spam forums, don't stay in there all day

A lot is anything above 35% really. If you make 100 posts and 50 are in polls and questions/crazy house/etc (in any ONE forum, if you have 50 across them, it's fine, whatever) then you are making simply too many posts in one place.

I will explain we have a DQ thread in a staff forum, and this was the excerpt from the post.

61% was just seen as over the top.

Posting as much as you can is the point, yes, but posting in typically spam forums tends to result in more spam being created, even if your posts in those forums are good in quality. Obviously, the staff wants to prevent spam where possible.

Alright, I understand that and agree with it.

However, I don't feel it's just to disqualify someone for breaking a rule that is not stated.  This would be akin to disqualifying a touch down because a player waved to someone in the stands when there is no rule stated against it.

I'm not trying to be argumentative.  It just doesn't seem fair.  I did work on making sure my posts were not spam, so I kind of feel like I'm being penalized for a lot of hard work.

Can we state that clearly in the future?  It really kills my interest to play in the future if there are hidden rules I don't know about.

(And again, please don't think I am trying to insult anyone. It honestly is just a bit shocking.  I completely understand why you'd have the rule; I just don't understand where it was clearly stated for all players.)

aight then well heres a story for yah... i won borderlands 2 from a tourney with a team of 3 on survival mode. and with me i loved borderlands and borderlands 2 but the problem is i dont play the games all the time im still a lvl 17 and my friends who lvled up with me are now in the lvl 30s. i dont know why but with games i just dont wanna play them unless i have friends who are willing to play with me. its a bit confusing for me as to why i do it but i normaly shrug it off n stuff... oh yeah! something poped in my head. im thinking about doing a borderlands 2 coop 4 player lets play. i think it will be fun and i can finally actually play the game! though finding the other 3 people is going to be hard and getting the time to do it is also a drag... oh well it will buff out...

legacyme3 : There isn't any official rules thread anywhere. Since I don't plan to make a ton of rules (the more rules you have, the less likely users are to read them) I figured I'd just post them in the official TdV thread.

legacyme3 : There's really not a ton of rules, we could just throw a few together and slap them into the thread. My goal was to make it so the TdV wouldn't need many rules, I was hoping to automate things so that the TdV results wouldn't factor in things that shouldn't count.

-Don't post near exclusively in the "spam" forums. These forums are as follows: Crazy House, Vizzed Market, Polls and Questions, and Game Reviews. It's fine to post a ton in those forums, but when they make up 35% of your posts it's a sign it's a little too much.
-Don't copy material from other sites. In general it's against Vizzed rules anyway, and doing it is cheating for word count. Don't do it.
-Don't spam all your posts via "tabbing". If you make 100 posts in 2 minutes, because you had them all open in separate tabs, you will be DQ'd from the jerseys for that day. Play fair.

I can't really think of any others that are broken often.

You'll be DQ'd if:
-More than 35% of your daily posts are made in one of the spam forums which include: Crazy House, Vizzed Market and Polls and Questions
-You copy content from other websites or other posts
-You use the "tabbing" technique to make a bunch of posts in a short amount of time
-The number of posts you scored toward the Green Jersey is more than half of your total posts made for the day

The last rule is the rule I added.

Oh, glad I found out about that tabbing rule now instead of later. I didn't exactly tab but I know I got fifteen posts by recording my posts in Notepad and then posting them all over the course of the same hour. (Primarily because, for whatever reason, I was lagging bad. Fixed that now though.)

Least now the rules are up to stop the confusion. It should also hopefully alert some members that may be spamming but don't realise it as well

Yeah now hopefully the quality of the posts from the board will be a lot less spammy. (And maybe the report thread will be spammed less)

Also, the last rule even I didn't know about. Maybe the overall posts will heighten now.

Oh wow, I am super happy to have helped my team be in the top 5 teams. Congratulations to everyone else, You all are hard competition, I have to tell ya. I've been posting off and on all day almost everyday since the TDV started and I'm still struggling. Plus when you do get a lot of quality posts in, you tend to lose a lot of places to post int. Haha. Anyway good luck everyone. That's for the team competitors and the individual competitors.
