Who are your favorite artists?

I like Picasso a little.

Van gogh is amazing!!!!!!!!

Matisse, Mirou and Hirst.

Who do you like, please say a little bit about why too for that extra flavor.

I don't care for artists really. There is only on who really stood out to be as brilliant.

That artist's name is Norval Morrisseau.

The way they capture the spirit of the natives really separates himself and his style from any artist I have ever seen.

His abstract and uniquely creative approach to artistry has always stood out in my mind.

He uses a wide variety of colours and incorporates them in a very interesting way.

Some good ones mentioned so far.
I don't have a "favourite" artist, I enjoy all kinds.

Edward Burra : He lived a hard life of illness and war. Most (not all) his work was dark and surreal.
The artwork will have more significance if you know a little about the author first.
I can't do it justice, look it up for yourself. But be warned, mature art.

Rolf Harris : He used to be a big-time entertainer back in the day. An interesting little chap.
The highlight here is the technical skill he has painting, precise and minimal.
The nature of his artwork (what little I have seen of it) is light hearted for the most part.

And one more.
Dave McKean No need for a description. (Not yet anyway.)

Eventually I should have a few more names to share here.

I'm not really known for famous artists but I DO like Picasso. I love art so much too I even have a hobby of making fan spirits I have one called the stuffwell ultra. You know, it's kinda funny how much peoples taste in art has changed, from past masterpieces to modern art of drawing and sprites, and I do know that there is still more creative minds out there that will show what we artist think is golden.
