I was reading an article, in which Jay Buhner former Mariner outfielder, (who hasn't heard of Jay Buhner?) has said he despises the fact that the mariners might consider a another multi-million dollar contract over several years with Ichiro, in my opinion I think the M's need to do a little more than get rid of Ichiro. What do other Mariner fans think?

Well, yesterday they traded Ichiro to the Yankees for two prospects, so that was a step in the right direction. I think that if they can build up some prospects, they could be good again in 5-10 years.

Yeah and with the first game Ichiro played in the Yankees snapped a four-game losing streak. As he said he was excited about going from a team that had the most losses to the team that had the most wins. I would be pretty excited about doing that as well. But now since I live in Kansas City every time I go to a Royals game against the Mariners I will miss having Ichiro Suzuki on the team, nut at least  every time I go to a Royals Yankees game I will see one of my favorite players.(Mostly because his name is awesome, kinda like Shin Soo-Choo.

Lol Shin-Soo Cho and Ichiro do have cool names, and they are yet both former Mariners. Mlb789 I totally agree with you, in some respects, it's a step in the right direction, but that's all the M's seem to do is take one step forward and one step back, and not go anywhere. I agree they could be a great team, but it seems as most players in their rise of fame like Adam Jones, Doug Fister, Michael Pineda, and a bunch of others have been traded to other teams and picked up starting positions, Shin-Soo Choo is a fine example of that. It just seems funny to me that all of the talent that has gone through the M's franchise I can't believe they haven't won a world series or even at least a pennant.

lumine2156 : Really, the Mariners do have one thing going for them, and they really should build around this.
They have King Felix, so that alone can create the center of a team.
