OK guys, FF (Final Fantasy) 7-9 are by far (In my opinion and most peoples' opinion's) the best FF games (Although FF V is pretty awesome!) probably because of their graphics at the time because of them being PSX (The first Playstation) games. They were also great because "Square" (Now known today as Square Enix) had finally in my opinion perfected adding emotion into their games (Which I still feel they do today! <3), specifically in FF VI which was a magnificent game that still lives on in my heart... In FF VII they made the main character a Rouge/Renegade "Man if few words" dude. It was a nice change (FF IV sorta had that Rouge/Renegade feel but not as good as FF VII) to see and was a good character to base the game off of. While FF VIII was great because of it's less cartoonish feel that I felt while playing FF VII on my PSX emulator (But the cartoonish feel is great at times), FF VIII was great because of it feeling and looking like a PSX game (While FF VII felt like a N64 game with the "Over-sized heads and hands."), it was nice because Squall (The main character of FF VIII ) wasn't looking for revenge and redemption as Cloud (The hero of FF VII) was looking for in FF VII. The Squall and Seifer rivalry was similar to Cloud's rivalry with Sephiroth. And in FF IX It felt like I was back in that calming, colorful N64 era with the respectfully cartoonish characters and best of all... It featured VIVI! (VIVI looked just like the Black Mage from FF I-6) But FF IX had to be my least favorite of the three however so I won't put much info in for it though... So these great games from "Square Enix(And at E3 I saw an awesome trailer from Square Enix that may-or may not of been FF XV! C'mon though! I saw Mages and summoned creatures, those are all aspects of the FF Series!)" deserve a PS3 or XBOX 360 remake (I exclude PC because most PC FF gamers are either playing FF XI which is still better than XIV Online in my opinion )! Reply what you think and if you think if they did make remakes why they should include a PC version for the three games!

Yeah, I'd like remakes for 7 and 8. But I'd LOVE a remake to 9. 9 is my favorite Final Fantasy with 7 and 1 coming close 2nd and 3rd respectively. It would probably be on the PS3 only, seeing as the that era was only for, well, PS1.

BluemageKyle :

Okay, so I would agree that FF 7 - 9 are the best of the bunch.  I personally have 8 and 9 for the PS1.  I think you are asking a bit much out of Sony though.  Although they did update the older FFs for the PS1 once.  So, perhaps there's a chance, but the demand for them would have to be big.  I mean, a letter-writing frenzy from a lot of folks.  The thought is a nice one and, while I don't have a PS3, I think a lot of the older games would sell if they were updated.

As far as I know they are planning a remake for final fantasy 8 and 9 =)
but I don't really know where I read it and can't seam to find it so I am not really sure if they are really doing it though...
But about ffx I am pretty sure! =D
But before these two remakes comes ff XIII Versus and the HD remake from ff X =D <3
I can't wait =^.^='

For ff7 they said that they don't want to remake it until a new superior final fantasy is on the market =)

Thanks you all for your input on this, I will surely try to figure out how to emulate PS1 games. Anyone know a good site for it that's easy? (P.s. I'm 11 and I'm not good about emulating.)

Well... I know how to emulate PSX games but only how it works when you have it installed on the pc and not online like in vizzed ... =/
I used the emulator "epsxe" and it worked pretty good =) of course only if you have a bios file and there lies one main problem with the online emulating I suppose...
On more problem would be that (for me... Dont't know how it is with others but it should be the same) the psx emulators only work for windows xp and vista etc but NOT on windows seven.... So if you get it to work it would be awesome but I would say you can save the trying because it would be kind of pointless (but it is really nice of you putting in so much thought and effort!)... Maybe experts at this topic can create new online emulators which will work... But I don't know any 11year old expert and even in older groups there are very few who may can do something like this I think.... =)

My mail sounds a bit discouraging.... sorry for that >__<.... But well if you want something to work like that... Well there are some problems to solve first with the psx-emulators itself because they work quite differently from the others.... Argh... I just stop there, okay? Because else I don't find an end!

Nice playing! Have a nice day! Whatever.. Just have fun ^^°

I think it would be cool.
I also think that an entire series H.D. collection would be better.
We have "Devil May Cry H.D." Set. And We have "Metal Gear Solid H.D." set.
Why not do it with all the Game Series?
Get rid of the "on-line only" stuff and provide hundreds of hours of gaming onto one package deal. The games are already made. It would only cost them the amount of money that is required for a disk.
I love the idea of the "H.D." sets that came out last year.
I honestly think they are brilliant moves from the developers.
Plus I am a fan of people not wasting good work that is already present.
Projects like "Capcom Classics", Or "Midways Treasure Chest" are a blessing.
I think all game companies should do this.

Good luck to all.
I'm done. Stick a fork in me.
Peace.

Oh how I long for this to happen xD
There are so many Final Fantasy fans that want this, I just wish the people that can make it happen will hurry up and do exactly that make it happen! lol
I for one would be outside my local game store at the crack of dawn waiting to pick up my copies.
Hopefully our dreams of them making this happen will come true at some point
