Big the Cat really is useless ...
Then I think Cream is annoying
and lastly, After reading some posts it made me realize that Shadow just isn't as cool as he used to be. When he first got on the scene, I felt he was a good character but then Sega used him so much and now he isn't the Shadow he used to be. 
I think someone mentioned Metal Sonic and I think that would be a great person to bring back.

I absolutely hate Amy. I think she is so obnoxious. She doesn't do much, except run around trying to hug Sonic and tell him her love for him. She is cute, I have to admit. She just...is kinda lame to me. And she even mistook Shadow for Sonic, which is quite embarasing considering Shadow is black and red, while Sonic is just blue.

I have a lot of characters I want to throw into a bottomless pit in the Sonic universe, but if I want just one, it'll be Amy... Amy obsessively stalks Sonic wherever he goes, and most of the time, just gets in the way. I just want to her to leave the Sonic franchise, and put in someone from maybe the comics to be the woman that follows Sonic, maybe Sally, I don't know..

Note: I do not support shipping, I'm just making an example of someone better than Amy to follow Sonic around.

Big The Cat is one of the most useless characters there is. Now given thought, there's quite a few that were just thrown in there, but at least they have character. This guy has nothing. At all. Its just a fat cat with a pet frog that he keeps losing.

urgh all the hate for big the cat...

He was made for children... not for the teen or early adults...
When I was a bit younger I found big the cat to be a tank in sonic heroes... seriously his characteristics and personality is far from perfect but hes still a powerhouse.
