Jordanv78 : I am in the 1964 emulator, it isn't recognizing my controller as plugged in. When I click on the drop down controller selection box, the options listed are Keyboard and Not Plugged In. I've tried it in multiple games, unplugging the controller and plugging it back in, turning it on and off before and during the game running, and even checked to make sure my computer still recognized the controller as plugged in while the game was running, which it did.

My issue with the Genesis games is resolved, for some reason the first two games I tried (Sonic and Theme Park) wouldn't let me, but when I tried to do it in Sonic 2, I could, and the changes transferred to both the other two games I had tried earlier. Not sure what happened there, but I'd rather focus on the current N64 issue than dwell on the mystery of why it suddenly decided to work on the Sega.

Darn if only I have a pc controller to use, but I thought I not need to buy one. Now I want to get one to play the games more easily.

darkdisciple13 : Uh, I wasn't dwelling on the Sega issue. I was asking for clarity of the problem you were having. So now that it's resolved, I'm not worried about it...

This sounds like an issue with the 1964 emulator itself, not so much the RGR plugin. I have seen people complaining about this but no real solutions after doing a quick google search. My hunch is something to do with the drivers used for the 360 controller to work on your PC.

Jordanv78 : I wasn't implying you were dwelling, I was just stating I wasn't worrying about why it suddenly decided to work. Sorry if I came off sounding like a JackDonkey I do appreciate your trying to help. I might end up having to use a key-listener program, which I wanted to avoid since it wouldn't help me play Mario Party (with the whole partial movement of the joystick and all)

My controller isn't a 360 controller though, it's one that says it's compatible with PC, PlayStation, and 360. USB connection. Made by Thrustmaster (which is a GREAT name for a game controller company by the way.) So I don't know if that means the drivers are different... I know I did install a driver for the controller, don't know if that changes anything.

Ktanaqui : If you are using the RGR plugin, there is no reason to use Xpadder. You can configure the controls inside the game menu.

I'm not sure if I'm using the RGR or not - but many of the games that I'd like to use a PC Controller with (Ms. Pac-Man, Pacmania for example) will not recognize my controller at all. It works for other games on my computer - like my Pokemon Conquest game.

Ktanaqui : You don't know if you are using the plugin or not? How is that possible? What link are you clicking when you go to play a game?

Also, have you tried to re-configure the controls by double clicking on the game menu? (Except MUPEN for N64 does not allow you to do that)

What brand of controller are you trying to use?

I have; sometimes it pulls up like that. Other times I have to click ESC. I know that, at some points I am using the RGR plug-in; I'm just not sure on which games... I'll make a list.

Okay, so it appears that all of the games that I play frequently that I have tried a Controller with are RGR... and none of them have accepted it. The controller is this one: GameStop Afterglow Controller . It works fine for any and all games that I try to play using DesMuMe, NO$GBA, and Project64.

Ktanaqui : Ok thanks for the information. Have you tried a different browser to see if you have different results?

Also I noticed while going through your game list that they are for all different systems. If you are using the RGR plugin, you should be able to only configure the controller once and have it save your config for all the other games in that system.

For example if I configure the controls for GBA it should work for all games. Take harvest MOon FOMT for example. Does your controller work for other GBA games, just not that one?

Bought, tested... And still nothing. No go, it's not recognizing the controller at all. What browser do you suggest I try? I'm currently using Google Chrome. I have at my disposal Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera... 

Ktanaqui : Ok so it seems that the GBA emulator does not see the controller you are using.

I'm starting to wonder if any of the emulators are recognizing your controller. Does it allow to to set keyboard functions to the keys?

Also I would try Firefox first just to see if there is a difference there.

No go on the RGR for that one; I can't figure out how to even access controls for the Non-RGR emulators. Testing Firefox. 

Okay, so... partial success. The RGR recognizes that a controller IS attached in Firefox and does accept the controls. Next question: What add-ons would interfere with RGR detecting the controller? I have the following add-ons:

Web of Trust
Adblock
Flashblock
Snap Links Lite
TweetRight
Website Login (HP stuff)
Youtube to MP3

Ktanaqui : The game I linked IS using the plugin. Heck, it's the game of the week. You play the game by clicking the link on the far right...the one labeled "Vizzed RGR Plugin" Just like you would for any of the other RGR plugin games... see here: http://puu.sh/14yGE Is that not what you were clicking?

Also, I'm not sure which would be interfering. Possibly The "Block" ones. I would try disabling them one by one. And then testing after each one you have disabled. That would be the best way to find out exactly the root of the problem.

Alright; I'll let you know when I figure it out. (For future issues.) How do I send the Viz back to you?

Edit: So, that was rather easy. Turns out that Adblock was the culprit so I've marked Vizzed to be completely excluded. (Thus, fixing the issue.)

Ktanaqui : Hmm that's weird that adblock is causing your issue since I assume many people on this website use adblock. Maybe a recent update messed things up, or it's something to do with it's communication to your controller/drivers. Either way I'll mark it in my notes for the future.

You're welcome; even if I knew ahead of time that I did not need to, I still would have. It's not fair for me to profit from issues that my PC develops. Maybe it's a combination of the Apps that I have installed and stopping the one broke whatever connection they were creating to block it? I have no idea... Wild guessing. Thanks for the help though  

Davideo7 : Is it possible to connect a Game Cube controller to Vizzed? I know that you can use one for a PC in general if you have the adapter, but will the control stick and everything else work?

Hi, I looked through the pages within this thread and was unable to find an answer, but I apologize if I overlooked it. The XPadder software does not support WIndows 8. Is there anything I can do, or am I out of luck as far as using a PC Controller? Thanks!

sithlordssor : There's a similar program I've uploaded that should work the same, if not better; it will ask you to register or something, but the program will run without registering. This is the program I use for my controller for some programs:
