Weird...the link for the cheat codes works for me.
Guess I'll just list the codes here then.

These are Pro Action Replay Codes (PAR).

They will work with any emulator that supports the PAR format. (Most newer ones do)

They will also work with FCE Ultra (FCEUXD) after you modify them by removing the first 2 digits.

EXAMPLE: If the code is 001234 FF, to make it work in FCEUXD you remove the two zeroes at the beginning, so it becomes 1234 FF.

FYI, I've got the emulator working no problem now. I honestly have no idea why it wasn't in the first place. I didn't do anything to it, I just decided to try to get it to work again and it was.

Issue must have been something on my end, but I don't know what. Also, sweet cheats.

Thanks for the cheats SegNin. What other emulators work with this game that you know of? And are there any save files out there that you know of or do you have any of your own?

This game needs an emulator that supports Mapper 163.

So, FCE Ultra 2.0.3 and Nestopia 1.40 can play it, while VirtuaNES can't.

Mednafen, which is a pretty good multi-system emulator might be able to play it also, since it has partial Mapper 163 support.

I don't have any save states, since I haven't started playing it yet. I only found the patch, and all this other info yesterday. I've had the rom for awhile, but it was in Chinese, so i couldn't play it.

I might wait to see what improvements are made with the "upgrade" project, before I try to play this game. I've also got a huge backlog of games I've been meaning to finish--mostly RPG's, like Mother 3.

Hrm, well I was able to get VirtuaNES to do it no problem (once my initial issue of not being able to remap the keys cleared up, and that had nothing to do with this ROM).

The ordinary VirtuaNES will not play this but the Japanese version will and also the japanese version translated to english (which is included) also will play it.

It's annoying about the trust thing, cuz I was really looking forward to playing this...

Ummm, you're like the millionth person to overlook the fact that all you need is at least 10 posts to get this, I've made it pretty clear too.

It's looks like a good game but I want to try ff7 out on the psx before I play this version.

Thats actually pretty cool is there any differences between this version nd the psx version

Story is exactly the game, some of the graphics aren't based on the FF7 game and same with the music but it's still a really sweet remake.

It is the englished patched version but I'm not sure if it works on those emulators, I haven't tried it personally but you could try it out. Either way I know it works on the japanese VirtuaNES and the english translation of the japanese VirtuaNES...in fact, in the file it comes with the emulator needed.

um how do you get the PAR codes to work in VirtuaNES????

I just might have to take a look at this translation soon. I played the original Chinese rom some months back. Worked very well on FCEU.ELF on PS2 never could get it working on PSP though I only tried it on NesterJ 1.20. Scratch 1.20, I used NesterJ CN Mapper and it worked well for PSP. Cheats however do not not successfully apply for the game while using it.

This game looks awesome. Cant wait to play it.

In all honesty the main reason I am on this site is to post ten times and get this nes rom but I have one small problem/question. Will this rom run on the fceux emulator because If I need to use that specific emulator to run the rom than I wont be able to run the rom on the device I wish to run it on.
