Well, I saw a commercial the other day. There seems to be a new batman coming out. it is going to be called "The Dark Knight Rises". Here is a link to some information to it if you are interested: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1345836/

What are your thoughts on this?

Yeah. Honestly, it looks pretty good. But, on the flip side, I really hope they do not mess it up. That would really suck, seeing as how the first one was pretty good. I wonder if they are going to play off of that last scene, where the detective guy basically tells his son that Batman is a "good" bad guy, and that the cops have to catch him.

thing1 : Eh, I'll go and see it. But honestly I like the old batman movies better. It's almost like movie creators are making new movies for all the super heroes, like the new Spiderman movie!

Batman is Batman, you can't NOT like him or his movies, he's purely that epic.

Anywaysm I loved The Dark Knight, so I'm sure that I'll like The Dark Knight Rises as well, Nya~. Plus the commercials make it look really good, so hopefully it is as promising as it seems.

That's loosk really cool!

My father was asking me to check the Cinemark site to check if the movie was avaible, but it was not, does anybody know when will this movie be released?
Otherwise, me, my father and my mother are going to watch Ice Age 4.

Seishiro Leonhart: As far as I know, it should be later this month. You can check on AMC's site, or just Google it.

crazycapcup: but, but , but... IT'S THE DARK KNIGHT!!! HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE HIM?!?!?! :'( Fine, go have fun with your bug. ~Hmph (Just kidding. Spidey is alright, but I heard the movie's story line is so far off from the comics and other movies that it is going to suck.)

I actually haven't seen any of the newer Batman movies. I'm not a DC fan, so none of the DC movie's really interest me.

I think they set the bar pretty high with The Dark Knight. Maybe just a little bit too high. I really don't think they will be able to top that, and something tells me they won't try to. I plan to go see Dark Knight Rises with some friends, and we are going to try and not compare it to Dark Knight, because we know we will be disappointed if we do. I am already a little disappointed that they chose Bane, a minor baddie in the Batman gallery that played the role of henchman more than he did main antagonist, as the primary villain in this movie. I got somewhat excited back when they were kicking around the name 'Johnny Depp' in association with the third Batman film. I would have loved to see him portray The Riddler! I have no doubt he would have done a much better job than Jim Carrey.

PoorSmeagol83 : Well, there is a very good reason why they chose Bane for this. Christopher Nolan pre-planned this trilogy following a very specific story line in the Batman comic books. He has not actually announced if he is going to do in this movie what happened in the comics. In the comic series that he is following, Bane actually ends up breaking Batmans back. Christopher Nolan did state that he does not want another writer or film company to do to his trilogy what they did to the original films (picking them up and adding the Batman Forever and Batman & Robin crap fest). So there is a good chance that he is going to follow the storyline where Bane will snap Batman's spine. But yeah, it isn't that they 'picked' Bane. Doing this actually does the comic book series justice.  Another little tidbit you might not have known. You remember Coleman Reese in The Dark Knight? He was the one who figured out that Bruce Wayne was Batman. He is actually the man who became the Riddle in one of the the Batman Comic storylines. One big reason the Riddler isn't in Christopher Nolan's trilogy is because Bruce Wayne saved him when he put himself in front of the car that was about to ram him in an attempt to kill him. Reese saw it was Bruce who saved him, so he decided to not reveal his secret. So it wouldn't make sense to have the Riddler in this story.

rcarter2 : Ah, alright. That actually makes a great deal of sense now. In all honestly, I never followed the Batman comics all that closely, so I wasn't aware that they were actually following an existing story arc. That makes me anticipate the new movie a little more, just to see if they do go through with Bane breaking Batman's back. That would be a slick way for Nolan to try and stop them from doing to his vision of batman what they ended up doing to Tim Burton's.

Sadly, I think there is a way they would get around it. If I remember correctly, there is a series called Batman Beyond, which follows a new Batman, which Bruce Wayne playing more of a Alfred type role. I know how movie studios think, and they like milking popular movie franchises until there is nothing but an empty husk of the original left. This is what they are doing with the Spiderman franchise right now, and it makes me sick to my stomach. I just hope both this new Batman movie and that new Spiderman movie are no where near as bad as Punisher Warzone. Punisher is my all time favorite comic book character, and I nearly went insane from rage when they made the second movie a mindless kill fest!

PoorSmeagol83 : I agree. What they did to Tiim Burton's was just sad. If you read the Batman Comics, they are actually extremely dark nature and often very twisted. If you ever played Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, you will have a very good idea at exactly how dark the comic actually was. Nolan's was the only Batman movies I have seen that remotely got the atmosphere right. Batman Forever and Batman Beyond was just so focused on making things flashy, cheesy, and kid friendly. The original comics were anything but kid friendly.

I actually heard that the Spiderman movie was pretty good. But I'll just wait till I can rent it for a buck at Redbox.

This batman looks really cool! I can't wait to see it. Hopefully it's going to be the best out of the 3. Shame it's going to be the last though.

Well The Dark knight Rises is based off the Knightfall/No man's land storylines from the 90's comics (Which I am thanking Christopher Nolan so much about since I have The killing Joke and No man's land ) and what happens is: The beginning tarts with the Dark knight from the movie before... But then Bane breaks out all the inmates of Arkham Asylum and is trying to mentally and physically tire out the Dark Knight. So after Bruce (Batman) is thinking it's over since he locks up all of them (except Bane), but Bane put a tracker on the Batmobile  and tracks Batman back to the batcave and breaks his spine (Which happened in the comics) and leaves batman as a crippled man... So then there is gonna be a eight year time split of Bruce/Batman who goes on a journey of self-discovery (Like in the start of Batman:Begins) and then in Gotham there is a disease and it is Hell in Gotham, plus there is a man who becomes the Batman while Bruce was gone (Which Bruce didn't know about) and becomes his successor and then of course Bruce and him defeat Bane but then after that Bruce's successor goes insane and then Bruce has to defeat him and RISE.....

BluemageKyle : Nice to see someone else who knows the story. I too am glad Nolan used this storyline. What I am curious about is how close he will follow this. He did mention he wanted to end it in a way that someone else couldn't try to continue his trilogy and kill it like 'The Movies That Shall Not Be Named'. I am anxious to see it. Unfortunately for me, my wife does not want to go to a Batman movie because she has no interest in it and I don't have any friends who aren't super busy already. I am not going to be that lame guy who goes to a movie by himself, so I will probably have to wait until it comes out on DVD

The movie looks sick! I am actually going to see the Midnight premier tomorrow. me and my friends paid thirty bucks to see all three movies, and you get free popcorn and drink refills, so I am gonna be at the theaters for like 12 hours lol.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
