All the Pokémon cartoon ash stays age 12 I mean in Pokémon games ash does not get to be the main person all the time. But
why is he always 12? He looks like he would like Pokémon at age 15. I like the first Pokémon one I fond it funny when ash tried to catch a
bird type with his night clothes.

Actually. I think you're a bit mistaken as he's supposed to have stayed at the age of 10 He DID leave out on his journey at the age of ten and has had no birthdays what so ever.

All I know is ash as the main person is getting old. I stop watching Pokémon when they got to I think 500 and up Pokémon

There are a lot of theories on why ash is still 10, the one I found most interesting is that the Nintendo corporation keeps him at a young age to appeal to young kids so that they'll continue to buy their products. I think this would be the most logical theories but there is another I read about where all the episodes come one after another which would make ash only like 12 or 13 so he wouldn't really change in appearance that much, but since we all know the episodes do not happen on after another this theory makes little to no sense. So I think its just one giant plot to scam people and their kids out of their hard earned money.

Your half right on that account, Sam. The other reason would be that other than Pikachu, Ash is an icon in the Pokemon universe. I don't see him ever NOT being the main [human] character. I actually mentioned this to my buddy yesterday, and my "theory" was that Ash had a very long life span that made him age slowly.

Back when I used to watch the shows, it seemed like Ash DID seem to get slightly older between the first second and third seasons, but then he sorta... stopped. And I think he might have even regressed in some of the newer seasons. I guess that DOES mean he found the fountain of youth if he's actually getting younger somehow.

It's the same question as why the Simpsons doesn't grow... Because people likes seeing the characters just like they are actually. If they grow... They have to change their attitude and thoughts, and I don't think people would approve that...
