TJ? He's awesome, but also, he's a mod. That seems kinda lame. Every team has a mod for a leader. And why? It's not like they can give us special privileges. We're not even going to consider anyone else? =( That seems ridiculous.

Galacta and I would both make good leaders. Yeah, I said I would be. Wanna fight about it?

Looks like a pretty good team. I have no complaints about anyone on team 4 Anyway, I have no problem with tj as team captain. I get the whole 'all the other teams have mods as captains', but TJ has shown the most interest (or pretty much any interest for that matter ). Anyway, this is something I have really only announced on the Global Forum, but I will let you all know that if this does start early like leggy is considering, I won't be the best asset. I am actually leaving in about an hour for a 10 hour drive to the airport. My wife and I are going on our honeymoon in Costa Rica (we got married exactly 2 weeks ago). So I won't be back until around July 9th. So if this does end up starting before that, I am apologizing in advance. See you all in about 10 days.

rcarter2 : I think you mentioned something like that in passing in the sign up thread. It's totally fine. I think we have a strong, balanced team here, so we'll try to hold the fort until you get back. Enjoy your honeymoon!

tj4bigred : Why, cuz' you don't get your way! WAH WAH WAH! No crybabies for leader! Also we could always tag team it. TJ & KG, that sounds pretty sexy and unstoppable. But seriously, you're already a mod. You have a cool position on Vizzed and you're already a leader of sorts. Someone else should be able to have a fun position, like 'leader'. It's not something we have to play on that much, since we're all old enough and smart enough to cooperate and collaborate.

rcarter2 : I'm totes jelly, Lazlo and I have been married for over 2 years, and still no honeymoon. =( We'll hold up the fort without you and make you proud! Have tons of fun!

I would actually consider putting myself up for team leader but everyone pretty much already made up their mind.

So if you like i can just be a douche and be like I WANT TO BE TEAM LEADER. BECAUSE I AM CLEARLY THE BEST PERSON FOR THE JOB. I MEAN TJ MAYBE A MOD BUT HE ISN'T AWESOME LIKE ME!

KG : I am very lucky. Honestly, there is no way we could afford this trip right now. She is a teacher and I am finishing my last semester of school (to also be a teacher), so not much money there. But her parents are sending us and all we have to worry about is spending money for ourselves. Everything else is taken care of. I am so grateful for such a generous wedding present.

sonicmcmuffin : my vote isn't really official before because TJ was the only one who showed interest. Since I will be leaving soon, I'll give you my vote. I agree with KG's point about letting someone else have a fun position.

But I agree. Teej and Kage sounds sexy. Then again, I don't like the idea of any one person being in charge. We want to avoid the dominance conflicts Team 1 had. While I'm not suggesting we pick a rock for our captain, I withdraw my ballot as captain and move to make Sonic, Galacta, Radley, KG, and myself Co-Captains of the kickass Team 4. Seperate we are but boys. Together we are 4 men and a woman.

I'll post it here, since I ok'd Team 3 doing it as well... but you can have a captain and an assistant captain.

In case it matters, the captain's duties are this.

- They have to be active. Not every day active (it would help though) but active enough that I can rely on them to not disappear off the face of the earth.
- They basically will be the "spokesperson" of the team. They will submit team entires in the team competitions that happen.
- They can basically send away problem members on their team. If someone on the team causes problems, they can contact me to deal with them. The player in question will be put on a short list, and will be sent away for another problem user. (note, this is mostly to get rid of someone who doesn't get along with others)

Aside from that, there is very little they do. They are just billed as the most responsible basically.

(also, I would support a non mod being in charge, just as much as a mod being in charge. I've noticed mods are being named captains, which is totally ok with me. It just happens the mods are reliable people. But they aren't the ONLY reliable people.)

That's probably the best route, though if we did that, mlb would obviously be a co-leader because we're not just leaving one dude out. Also the whole thing of not voting for one of you feels stupid. I didn't want to be like I DON'T WANT TJ AS LEADER, because it's nothing against TJ or against anyone else on the team that wasn't voted for. By wanting to be a leader, it's not that I think I'm better suited or better in general than anyone else. Everyone wants a chance to show their stripes and have fun making decisions. But we're all capable of making decisions together, I'm sure, and it probably won't be an issue. If things get heated (they won't) we'll choose someone at random or vote again to appoint someone if it becomes appropriate. Sound agreeable, gentlemen?

Another option would be to volunteer to take a leading stance depending on the activity. For example, if it were for who can make the greatest score total at pretty much any game, I would gladly bow out and let someone else step up. I'm not very good at most games, especially platformers, so I obviously recognize that I wouldn't be the best asset. That's just one example and it's rather obscure since we don't know exactly what the activities would be, but that's always another route.

I know there's only 5 of us but meh ... it's the first thing that came into my head...

I mean i just thought it'd be a cool name because we all have different personalities and skills.

As for choosing a team leader. Why don't we see what the daily activity is for the day and then just pick who we find most appropriate for that day.
