I'm actually loving it. the first time you step on the grass and encounter an eevee, 100% you are dead.
but once you encounter just one pidgey lvl 5 or even a hoppip, beat it, then its smooth sailing.just make sure to reach lvl 20 by first gym.
third gym lvl 30 and so on. grinding is easy because wild pkmn's are high level and give decent exp. just watch out for the nasty rouge charizard lvl 60 who will pawn you if are unfortunate enough to meet him
so far im heading to the third gym, nothing is changed except for some trainers having their pkmn lvl boosted.
so think of it as pokemon crystal on steriods.
