ok get this theres a new movie goming out soon called 2012. which is about the mayan apocalypse, its said that the calender that we know now was not correct. because year 2000 was said to be the apocalyse. but we found out recently that the mayan calender is more acurate and that the apocalypse is going to be november 21, 2012. also if u have ever seen the new indiana jones "the crystal skulls" there actualy real its said that if we gather all 12 of the crystal skulls(which as of now that i know only 8 were found)and bring them to this mayan temple place before this time its supose to stop this. whats everyones take on this. bull or not bull.

As far as indiana jones... yea that's all hollywood and will not work in real life. Now as far as 2012 is concerned it's NOT the end of the world. People keep claiming it's the end... it's the end of a calender just like our calenders. It's like saying we will die on Dec 31. 12:59am... The point is the world is not ending just the age, we enter Aquarius age on Dec. 21, 2012. So when people say the world will end no, just the age of Pieces will end.

Now this might spark up some debate but Jesus is Pieces isn't he? With the Jesus fish symbol thing and all? Now if that is correct then Jesus will not be with us much longer as he once said something about being with us till the end of time, now it is uncertain what he meant by "time" because there are different times. Not bashing Jesus by the way just making a point from what I have learned. 2012 can be either a subliminal biblical message such as Jesus's second coming or it can just be just another day, no way is it the end of the world though.

well, what jigsaw said makes a little more sense, but still, i don't see how anyone could accurately make such a bold prediction

I might be off on some things but it is just a calender. I think there is definitly an outside influence to the Mayans and Egyptians... not only where they extremely smart, how did they become so smart? Aliens!!!

People really hated the last indiana jones cause it had aliens in it LOL, what did they expect I mean that's the most logical explination of how they knew what they knew, they even got drawings and stuff all over the walls to prove it

yes i know thats not real life, but there are realy 12 quarts skulls. i wasnt actualy talking about the main plot of the movie. but i dont know if u know but quarts holds a mass amount of information. like all hard drives contain quarts. and as for aliens it very well could be true because even with our tecnology we cant even recreate one of the shulls.

they do exist. I've seen a show on the discovery channel, or the history channel about them. They don't quite look like the ones in the movie but they are crystal skulls.

As for the 2012, Jigsaw was correct when he stated that it's not a prediction about the end of the world but it's the end of an age. The age we're heading in to, as far as I can remember, is supposed to be an age of prosperity. The change in ages might be very damaging and contain a lot of upheaval in the process. That's all speculation of course so who knows.

Well, don't trust the history channel. They've also been doing a show recently about a supposed "bible code" that people claim can be used to predict future events. the reasoning is "oh, the chances that these letters will appear in this matrix are so low" when it's really just finding random words on a page and throwing them together with other words (in a completely different context) to form a phrase that involves something bad that already happened

You can read up on them on Wikipedia. Their origins are not conclusive. The way they were made is not known. We have the technology to make them today but when they were (supposedly) discovered the technology would not have been around (as far as we know).

I'm not suggesting I believe in the myth behind the crystal skulls... I'm just saying they do exist.


And the bible code does sound like a bunch of garbage. I've watched that program and I find it hard to believe that there is actually some sort of code that is embedded in the bible. I bet you could do that with nearly any book. Pick a book with 1500 pages and I'm sure the codes will start showing up. Although, even if it is true what good is it? You can find names of people and places and events all linked together but that doesn't do you any good when looking to the future. It's not like the code comes out as "On January 20th 2009 a black President will be sworn in to office". You would get fragments that might clue you in to that but it's so hit and miss how could you possibly decode it in time to actually fortell any events.

The Mayan calendar ends on my brother's birthday. That doesn't really relate to anything here, I just thought I'd add that.

I think this thought that it's a prediction of the end of the world is bull. I'm surprised they went as far as they did.

Sometimes I wish I had been born past the point of all the apocalypse predictions. But I guess they're an ever-growing sort. And with my luck I would have been born then just to find out that that is when the world ends. Right when everyone quits expecting it.

about the skulls: I think they were probably used in some form of religious ceremony. it seems like that would make sense.

about the rest: Yeah, they did it with 20,000 leagues under the sea too, and claimed that it predicted president kennedy's assassination. I mean, they are using events that already happened so they know what letters to look for and everything. even if the code did exist (though it clearly doesn't), it would be useless

Watching the 2012 thing on discovery led to a series of oncoverings that have flipped my world upside down becaeuse after I hear of 2012 I did some researck and stumbled upon the 2012 enigma by David Wilcock which some of it I think is quite delusional but he did open my mind to the fact that there is great secrecy behind the United states Government (AMONG OTHERS) which led me to the illuminati, new world order, ecenomic crash ect and this was in uagust 08 or so and then what happened? The econmy crashed the way I read and Now I am convinced of tghis Illuminat New world order and how the federal reserve has used private banks to create a corrupt money system built from debt created from lending out monay at interest that is more or less created out of thin air and yea. Basically they f***ed us bad and things are about to get worse. The Mayan Calander is very acurate because thay understood our solar systaem and galaxy way better than we do and the only way this si possible is through an extra terrsetrail race. Apparently the sumerians believed that we more or less came fro a reptilian race called the annunaki who came to earth from planet Nibiru which is in a strange orbit around our sun and this planet is also suppossed to return in 2012. I ahve no clue as to what is true and really going on but that discovery channel documentary opened my mind and made me realize that there is so much going on right now, so many innocents still jaked into the matrix. Clueless. Ask any random person on the street where money comes from and quaranteed thay have no idea.

For those unfamiliar with astrological ages, the Age of Pisces began circa 498 CE, a few decades after the fall of Rome. The shift into a new Age usually has very tumultuous events accompanying it.

There is another theory that the calender keeps record of the period between the occurance of an astrological alignment that happens once every couple thousand years.

Really, there are many theories as to what it is all about. We will never know because any documents that talked about what it was were destroyed a long time ago. I highly doubt there will be an end of the world thing happening though.
