Hey Rose!!!! 
Here is both the directions after both the regions 3rd gyms:
1st Region: You go down from the right path out of Sean port, go all the way to the right, talk to the Hiker, he will give you Rock Smash, then you go left a little, and go up, talk to the guy surrounded by Pokémon, he is the fourth guy. Then you go south.
second Region: Take your TM you got, teach it to a fighting type Pokémon you plan on teaching Focus Punch to, go out the south path, and once you reach the next town, talk to the lady to the north of the giant building, remember her? You battle her, then go to the entrance of the Pokémon center, then you go left a little, north a little, and enter the cave, HAVE AT LEAST 3 SUPER REPELS, use 2 of the super repels for the regular use, once you get to the end, a man will ask you for a super repel, he will get the Pokémon to go away, then go and challenge him at his gym! I'll leave you off there.
