Review of Mega Man 4.

Graphics - 7
They are mostly good for the NES, but some things can be confusing. This is one of those games where there are some "ok" and "meh" graphics, this one looks good. I can give the graphical rating a good 7.

Sound - 8
This game puts in more soundtracks and sounds in this game, and it is a little better than the graphics, but the sounds, most of them were probably from past mega man games, which were the first 3 games, some were reused in future games, like mega man 5 and 6. I give the sounds a great 8.

Addictiveness - 6
This game is good, but if you ever played the first few games, you might notice that capcom keeps putting slight changes into the parts of the game, and it gets repetitive quick, so I give the addicting rating a ok 6.

Depth - 8
It seems it is almost as long as mega man 3, but mega man 3 "won by a landslide" in depth, making me give the depth a 8.

Difficulty - 9
It is a huge jump in difficulty, but it is nearly as hard as the first level of battletoads when playing that for the first time, Mega Man 4 is very hard, it is so hard, I just could never beat the 2nd stage of Dr. Cossack's castle, which is a huge pain in the butt to beat the first dr Cossack level due to the huge difficulty. I need to give that a 9.

Story - 5
The story is like the past game (Which does not tell the story) but it takes place in the year, "A.D. 20XX" in which Dr. Wily again sends out another 8 robot master army to attack mega man, but mega man was now equipped with a more powerful mega buster which if you hold to B button, your blaster will charge up and if you release it at a enemy, it will deal more damage. The story also shows how "Rock", the Mega Man character transforms into a fighting robot by Dr. Light. I give the story a "meh" 5.

Overall - 7.8
It is okay, but it does have some huge problems with the difficulty, a ok story, good graphics and sound, huge depth, and the addicting meter is a "meh".

I agree, this game is REALLY hard. I hate those flying shields with eyes. and Ring Man's stage is a nightmare. (At least the start, I couldn't pass more further than that.)

However, It's still an awesome game.

jlh : Thanks for the compliment, I have played Mega Man 3, 4, and 5, and I never beat the fourth game, it is so hard, capcom will regret making the fourth game WAY too hard!

There are games that I hate, all because of the difficulty!

Anyways, I was looking at a YouTube video showing 2 game genie codes in Mega Man 6, which are: GPSSXS, IKAAAE. There cause a insane load of glitches and it can cause a rare game crash.

Great review Stevie764, I liked the Mega Man series for as long as I can remember. This game wasn't all that hard until you got to Dr.Cossack's Fortress.

Markeith21 : The game got hard really quick for my skills, Dr. Cossack's castle is such a insane load of crab pinching madness, the first stage is already hard enough to beat, thankfully there is a E-tank hidden right next to mega man's left at the start of Dr Cossack stage 1, and there was a very rememberable trick I discovered in Mega Man 5 to abuse the E-tanks appearing, here are the steps:

1. Go to any stage that has a E-tank or also a M-tank in Mega Man 5.
2. Collect the E-tank.
3. Keep killing yourself until you get a Game Over.
4. continue the stage, and repeat steps 2-4 until you get 9 E-tanks.
5. Once you have 9 E-tanks, you are all set and ready to plug Dr Cossack into the dead side.

The only times I ever had to do that was when I am detroying bosses and trying to pass the Dr Cossack stages and failing the second stage due to how hard the stage had to be programmed.

You may want to rewrite that "as hard as playing the first level of battle toads for the first time" thing cuz' that wasn't hard at all
