This time I will be reviewing "Yu-Gi-Oh Gx: Duel Academy".

Now I myself am a big fan of "Yu-Gi-Oh GX" I watched the show until it stopped airing in English and so far this is one of my favorite games for it.

This game is for the Gameboy Advanced and is not much different from any other "Yu-Gi-Oh" game you've played but this has some unique features. Some of those would be that you can travel along campus and level up fighting higher ranks of students.

You can even take tests and get a higher dorm rank.

The graphics in this aren't exactly the greatest. The sprites aren't exactly clean. But because of the game type graphics aren't exactly a big deal. It's like an advanced slide show. The walking around the campus is just a bunch of pictures to me. The actual game play when your dueling is a grid where you can place cards. It's nothing much though. The game doesn't have the best graphics out of other games but it's still pretty decent.

On to the sound. The sound had a variety of cool music and effects. The cool monster sounds make the battle scenes much more fun. The sound plays a big factor in making the battles more entertaining and not just laying cards down on the field. It does it's best to make the enjoyment much better. The music when your just walking around is also nice. It's not intensifying it's just cool, calm exploring music.

The game will keep you wanting to try harder and harder to get better cards and ranks. You even have many side quests to do. But most if the time you won't know when it will happen. The game basically resembles actual life at Duel Academy. So there is a lot of stuff you can do in the game and it's not one of those games where you can just beat it in a day or so. It will actually take you quite sometime to beat everything in the games.

Like I said before it's no ordinary story. It doesn't have a proper plot or a protagonist. It basically resembles you actually going to Duel Academy and living there. You experience new thing almost everyday and some days you can just chill. Your a student just getting higher ranks the more duels you win and the better you do on your exams. So it's not much of a story if you think about it. That's why I give it a 4/10. I gave it the 4 because it does have some story and it is unique.

With many and I do mean many side quests there are this game has much to offer. First of you can battle duelists and gain ranks eventually making it to "The King Of Games". There are over 200+ cards to collect and many rare ones. You can take your exams and get to a higher dorm rank like Obelisk Blue or Ra Yellow. I have stated this before but there are so many side quests for you to do. You never know when another one will happen. That's what makes the game great. It's almost like your living Jadens life in the show. So there is so much to do in this game and I guarantee you won't get bored with it as well.

The characters vary in difficulty. Characters like Chumley and Cyrus are easy because they've been noted as bad duelists. People like Jaden, Zayn and the professors are hard to beat because they are masters. You will also take duel exams which aren't easy either. You have a quiz, a time trial and a duel you must do. Getting 100% is a challenge. Getting higher ranks is also hard because to do that you have to get better cards and to do that you'd have to fight more experienced duelists in order to get more DP to buy or earn better cards. There are also some tough side quests to do in which you might end up facing a boss fight. So this game can be pretty hard. That's why I give it a 7/10.

In my perspective I thought the game was fun, adventurous, challenging and addictive. That's why overall I give it an 8/10. For any "Yu-Gi-Oh" fans I highly reccomend trying this game if you haven't already. I assure you it won't be a waste of time.

I've played nearly all the Yugioh Games, having liked the series and the actual Trading card game myself. It started to get stupid in my opinion after the motorbike series.

But anyway, That is a great review. I enjoyed reading it.

I have to agree that Duel Academy is very addictive game. Its definitely one I come back to the most. In terms of story though its probably the best out of the Yugioh series that actually maintain the official rules of the TCG. I love the idea of actually going into exams and such. It adds so much more depth to the game. Its not just a duel every single time. I must admit though once you get a few certain cards you can really murder any opponent. My Cyber dragon deck would win it for me in 2-3 turns lol. But other than that its definitely a great game. Plenty of different opponents. Too many to count actually. There is a relative story line but you are in control of it which I love.

This review is actually quite good, though you should seriously explain more about the gameplay and give your review a real title instead of lazily just using the games name. Your capitalization, spelling, and punctuation are all well done. Also, it's called Game Boy Advance, not Gameboy Advanced. Be sure to fix that, and give your review a real title.
