I really like speed metal since I used to be a drummer in a such garage/ punk rock band.

[sigh ] I like the music but not so much the lyrics sadly (since I'm a Christian now).

There are some cool Christian Metal bands though.

I'm not entirely sure what Thrash/Speed Metal is. I'm not really up to date on genres. I have two genres in my mind: good music and crap. If Thrash/Speed metal is the kind of metal where the lead singer does nothing but roar and scream then it falls into the crap category. However, if it's heavy music, mostly singing with a few roars/screams thrown in here and there then it's good music.

The_league_of_destruction : ...Wha-?? Sorry, but I think it'd be best if you used standard English. I'm not entirely sure what it was you said. I don't mind Korn, but I don't really like 'em. Limp Bizkit really bugs me, though. I think the instrumental pieces are actually alright, but I just can't get used to Fred Durst's singing. I'm fine with Geddy Lee (of Rush) and Dave Mustaine (of Megadeth) but I still don't like Fred. Nor do I like that "Hey, It's Fred!" dweeb from YouTube.

I really like Thrash Metal. My second most favourite band is Megadeth and yeah it's a thrash metal band. They have got really good songs. The album "Rust in Peace" is maybe their best one, "Countdown to Extinction" is also good.
P.S. I am listening to Symphony of Destruction now ! HELL YEAH \m/

i prefer thrash over all genres of metal but i prefer death metal for thrash. Thrash is a perfect combination of technical stuff, brutality, and lyrics.I prefer death metal beause of the lyrics, vocals, drums. But thrash is my second most favorite genre of music.
i grow up with happy hardcore as a child of  6-10. When i turned 11 i founded a old cd of my dad's metal collection. Best of the beast. One of iron maiden's older albums.. I loved it.. Since that moment I've been digging deeper and deeper into the metal world. And it even changed my whole life style. Metal is a amazing thing. And thrash is even more amazing!
