thing1 : Sorry didn't get back in time.

The Colts are the 5th seed and the Bengals are the 6th seed as of today. I did a playoff simulation and the rankings didn't change after Week 17. Only ranking changes are the 1, 2, and 3 seed if the Texans lose to the Colts as I believe Denver would get the number 1 seed, the Pats 2, and the Texans 3.

Oldschool41 : Do not get me wrong: the Patriots are a good team.I just do not like them. The Broncos AND Colts have never beaten the Ravens in the playoffs, correct me if I am wrong on that count, so the Ravens should be alright playing the 5th seed Colts. However, it should still be interesting with the Colt's new quarterback, Andrew Luck, and all the injuries the team have right now. If the Ravens have to play the Broncos on down the line, again, same scenario.

thing1 : Turns out the Ravens can get the 3 seed by beating Cincy and the Pats losing to the Fins. Not entirely impossible.

I wouldn't know anything about the Broncos and Colts never beating the Ravens in the playoffs. I prefer to look at matchups, players, and skill sets.

Ravens should be good if the offense shows up like it did against the Giants, Colts wins haven't been impressive, mostly 4th quarter comback games where the other team should have put the nail in the coffin.

If the Ravens do win, then your most likely facing the Texans at the Number 1 seed as most people expect the Pats to beat the Bengals. But I don't like predicting games that more then 2 Weeks away.

PACKERS WILL WIN IT ALL . I hope the bears beat the vikings, though. it will get the packers a better spot in the playoffs.

Oldschool41 : Well, needless to say, this last week does not really matter that much in terms of standings.
But, the playoffs are going to be interesting. Predictions on the Ravens, and any other teams you want to throw into the frying pan?

Oh no!! Not another Cowboys fan!!

Ha, JK I don't hate the Cowboys as much as I really really like RG3 baby!! I hope both teams play a good game and they're no injures. Can't wait to see RG3 square up against Ware and Romo. I think he will frustrate Ware by running away from him, hitting some deep balls and making some big plays with his feet. Just an exciting player, now's the time where the Redskins wished they had some of those pass rushing defensive players they lost early in the season back, Romos line lets him down a lot but he is a great QB. Everyone watch for Gerald Sensebaugh (#43 SS) that's my girlfriends cousin and my sons 2nd cousin, my sons other cousin also plays on the Titans (Coty Sensebaugh #24 CB)

I look forward to the game 2 legacyme3 I hope its a good one...

Popeye116 : Please look at the schedule next time. Packers play at the Vikings and the Bears play at the Lions.

thing1 : From an AFC perspective. NFC East and Final Wildcard remains to be decided. I think the Redskins will beat the Cowboys and the Vikings will get the final Wildcard spot.

My Post-season ideas will be best suited for the NFL Post-Season thread...if one gets posted.

Alright  mrfe, I  disagree with EVERYTHING you said the packers WILL beat the Vikings, no problem. The colts will defanantly hang with Texans but I just cant see them beating the Texans.  What you said about the Redskins V. Cowboys, this one will defanantly be close but I think the cowboys have it in them to beat the Redskins. My predictions are Packers 35 Vikings 10, Colts 17 Texans 24, and Redskins 7 Cowboys 17.

I think its time to close this thread as the regular season has come to an end.

Wished AP beat Eric Dickerson's regular season record, came up 9 yards short. Well at least the Vikings won.

Local Mods : Should we close this as the Regular season came to an end? Or are we going to keep it open for the Post-season also?

Oldschool41 : Thanks for letting us know. This thread is officially closed.

Elpizo : Don't worry someone almost always makes a post season thread for all the respected sports. If someone hasn't made one by mid week this week I will go ahead and make one.

Happy New Year to all.

Jordanv78 : My team is the Ravens. To be completely honest. I only see them going about 8-8, maybe 9-7. 10-6 if they are really lucky. I don't see them getting into the playoffs, unless they can somehow pull off that 10-6, but they will loose in the divisional round after they win the wild card round.

Well my team is the Chicago Bears and frankly its going to be a tough year. Packers are still a major thorn in the division, the Vikings got a lot better on both sides of the ball, and the Lions still have Megatron. Just going off who we have on the roster and without seeing how Trestman's offense is going to run; I think we go 9-7 and miss the playoffs. Our first game against the Bengals is going to tell how our season will go.

thing1 : Just looking at your schedule, your prediction seems accurate...

Tough teams Ravens will face: Packers, Denver (you might get a blessing if Von Miller gets suspended), Houston, New England

Teams the Ravens will face that could go either way: Miami, Pitsburgh (twice), Bengals (twice), Chicago, Minnesota

Teams that the Ravens should beat: Cleveland (twice), Buffalo, Jets, Detriot.

Now I'm going to assume that you will beat those last 5 teams (hypothetically). Your already at 5-0. Now lets say you go 1-3 against those tough opponents (your only win being Denver if Miller gets suspended as that might have a leadership problem on the D side; if you don't believe Denver then pick another team). So your record now is 6-3 with only those either way teams left.

So if you can beat Miami, split games with Pit and the Bengals (most likely you will win both home games). Then your 9-5 with only the Chicago and Minny games left. 9-7 seems like the one I would pick.

Most likely your last two games (where you host New England and play at Cincy) will decide if you make the playoffs or not.
