Jordanv78 : I agree that the Bears will win a hard fought game. But the Texans have a good run and pass game that if Schaub gets time will exploit our secondary (which can still be beaten despite how good they are playing). Not to mention like you said we will have to stop Watt or else Cutler his going to be killed and our offense will stall and if the Defense can't stop the Texans; it could be a long day.

Crazy Li : Yeah I agree that the Cowboys won't beat the Eagles. Don't get me wrong both teams stink; but the Eagles are more talented on both sides of the ball (plus the Cowboys are injured). The Falcons could lose the Saints team that is playing desperation football (will be a great game to watch). But besides that I agree with the rest of the standings.

Oldschool41 : You make some valid points, but what about the Bears secondary has shown that it can be "exploited"? I know any defense can be at times, but Tillman and Jennings have been having the two best CB seasons in the NFL at their position...if not the best season of ALL defenders. I mean Tillman completely shut down and undressed Megatron.

Jordanv78 : Yeah those 2 are playing great. Its just the Safety's Conte and Wright that are the issue. Not to mention that we are thin at the Safety position. We only have 4 Safetys on the depth chart (we would have 5, but Hardin is on IR for a neck injury.) Not to mention that Briggs and Urlacher are not compeletly healthy (100%) so if any one of those 2 get injured worse then that would be a big lose.

Oldschool41 : Well of course any injuries at key positions could derail what the defense is trying to accomplish, any team could say that. Honestly the Defense against Houston is not what I'm worried about the two teams PPG (For) are almost even, and Houstons passing attack is middle of the pack statistically in YPG

What I'm worried about is the offense moving the ball against their defense. Thankfully having Cushing out helps big time

Jordan, you never go to netplay chat anymore.

Anyways it looks like the Texans will run away with it this year, similar to how the Packers and Saints recently had their dominant seasons on route to the Super Bowl.

A team that I really like this year is Seattle. They are a team that grinds out wins. They also have Lynch who can run away with a game at any moment.

I'm pleased that Denver is kind of middle of the pack with Manning as QB. I didn't want them to be amazing all of a sudden, but I also didn't want to see him fall on his face like Farve did in Minnesota (I think).

I think Atlanta will grab top seed and then lose in their first or second playoff match up. I remember how they stunk the place out last playoffs.

I believe that with RG3 at QB, his team will be able to attract good free agents for years to come and the skins will be a force to recon with in the next 2 to 3 years. I can also see him winning a Super Bowl, but maybe not as a Redskin.

I think the Steelers and Ravens are past their prime and will both make the playoffs, but will not advance past the second round.

My Super Bowl prediction is the Texans vs. an unexpected wild card team.

bobq : Yeah I don't come on the site very much lately as I have had a lot of stuff going on. Hopefully I will have more time to play games soon.
Anyways I find it interesting that you left the Bears out of your predictions considering they are one of the best teams in the NFL right now.

Also I think it's premature to say that RG3 is going to bring a lot of free agents to Washington. Hell with the way their season is going their coach might get fired. RG3 had 3 good games and 3 mediocre or even sub par games so the jury is still out on that a little. Also Snyder hasn't had a problem bringing in high priced free agents and overpaying them...their problem is they don't win.

Jordanv78 : Yeah if the Redskins can't pull it out with RG3 then Mike Shanahan will be fired...that or his son who is Offensive Coordinator. But then again the Redskins have had a lot of injuries, most notably...

1. Adam Carriker
2. Brain Orakpo
3. Pierre Garcon (he has played, but he is been out most of the time)
4. Brandon Merriweather

I wouldn't mind seeing Andy Reid in Washington as the Offenseive Coordinator or Head Coach.

Oldschool41 : Yeah I understand they have injuries but so do a lot of teams. Truth is that this is sort of been going on for a long time with the Redskins. When was the last time they had a team that you honestly thought had a chance to do something in the playoffs? It's been awhile according to my memory.

I have not seen a Bears game yet, although I generally like the city of Chicago.

I really hope that RG3 doesn't turn into another Cam Newton, who is stinking up the place and then crying about it. I don't see Carolina getting much better any time soon.

The Rams are a team of the future for me, with a lot of draft picks coming up. With that kicker of theirs, they will be a team that can upset a lot of favourited teams, if they can stay healthy and their draft picks develop well.

I see the Raiders and Eagles as teams that overpay for overrated players and then can't figure out why it is not working for them. Vick is good, but not great. He played his best football when he was underrated as a second string QB. Then when he stole the spotlight, its like he stopped putting in a supreme effort the second he signed the new contract. Also, he is being a bit careless and is trying to win the game himself. These poor decisions are what is getting him injured. As we have seen for the past two seasons, a careless Vick is an injured Vick, and an injured Vick is an unsuccessful Eagles team.

bobq : I disagree.

I don't see the Rams being a team of the future since they play in one of the toughest divisions to play against (NFC West). They still have to improve on both sides of the ball (WR, RB if they get rid of Steven Jackson, Safety, and OLine). If anything the Buccs are the team of the future since they have 2 good WRs, a underrated RB in Doug Martin, an underrated QB in Josh Freeman, and some talent on the defense.

I think the Eagles are overrated at some positions (WR for 1); but I think they are just not playing up to the level they were.

The Raiders just don't have a Go-to WR for Carson Palmer to throw too. That and most of the Defense stinks (besides Tyron Branch at SS, Michael Huff at FS, and that one defensive line guy...forget his name, he was realised by the Patriots). Give them a couple of years and maybe they will improve (unless they keep getting rid of their draft picks).

So let's see how the Week 10 sim did against reality...

Colts over Jaguars - correct
Buccaneers over Chargers - correct
Dolphins over Titans - horribly wrong
Patroits over Bills - correct
Ravens over Raiders - correct
Broncos over Panthers - correct
Giants over Bengals - wrong
Vikings over Lions - correct
Falcons over Saints - wrong (saw this coming)
Seahawks over Jets - correct
Cowboys over Eagles - correct
Niners over Rams - incorrect due to tie
Bears over Texans - wrong (told ya)
Steelers over Chiefs - correct

So that's 9 out of 14 this time.

And here were the Week 11 sim results...

Bills over Dolphins (what?)
Packers over Lions
Falcons over Cardinals
Panthers over Buccaneers (yeah right...)
Cowboys over Browns
Redskins over Eagles (doubtful now that they can't buy a win all of a sudden)
Rams over Jets
Bengals over Chiefs
Texans over Jaguars
Saints over Raiders
Broncos over Chargers
Patriots over Colts (I'm skeptical)
Steelers over Ravens (really?)
Bears over 49ers (if both teams are missing their starting QBs, the Niners actually have the edge here)

Crazy Li : Hmm I agree with all of the Week 11 sims except for the following...

Panthers over Bucs- I agree with you; I wouldn't want to play against Tampa Bay right now with that offense.

Steelers over Ravens- Both teams are not healthy, but I think the Ravens are better in terms of Offense (I'll give the Steelers the edge on Defense).

I also disagree with you on the 49ers having the edge if both QBs can't play. While I like San Frans backup QB (I'm not gonna attempt to spell his name), Jason Cambell for the Bears is a veteren and he should be able to preform if he gets the reps unlike the Texans game (but both teams should end up running the ball a lot).

Oldschool41 : I asked a friend who actually knows some stuff about football (unlike me) and this is what he had to say about it...

"It's true that Campbell is a more experienced QB and less likely to make a stupid mistake... but I feel that Kaepernick has more actual talent. When the pressure comes, Campbell probably won't force a bad pass for a pick, but he'll just take the sack or throw it away. Kaepernick runs the risk of forcing the ball into coverage, but is more likely to just scramble instead and he's made some pretty good rushes this year doing that. What I really think it comes down to is the run game, though. If both backups were to play, both teams would run more than normal. Frank Gore is one of the toughest backs in the NFL and I think he's the X factor for this game. And even beyond Gore, Kendall Hunter has a lot of speed and can jump in to make plays as well. I think Chicago really needs their starting QB to pull this one out."

Now granted this comes from a Niner fan, so it may be biased.

Crazy Li : I agree with you. Thou I guess we will have to wait and see who will be the 49ers starting QB (I believe that Alex Smith has yet to be ruled out, but I could be wrong).

Oh and I changed my mind on the Lions vs Packers game. Knowing that Jennings, Woodson, and Matthews are out, Jordy is not 100%, and the OLine problems; I think the Lions will beat the Packers.

Oldschool41 : I know Smith practiced earlier in the week. Not sure if that means anything or not. I never knew a concussion could actually cause a player to miss a full week. I could see a couple of days, you wanna be careful... but I wouldn't expect complications beyond that. But what do I know? I'm not an athlete :p

Crazy Li : Got the answer, Alex Smith is out so Kaeppy will start. Going to be 1 heck of a game tonight.

Week 11 sims were pretty good too except for...

Rams vs Jets- Let's face it who saw that coming after the Rams tied the 49ers.

Steelers vs Ravens- Ugly game, but a win is a win.

Panthers vs Buccs- Well they were correct until that amazing catch by Vincent Jackson to tie the game.

Oldschool41 : Rams/Jets is the only one of the three that surprised me. Though I'm more surprised the sim called it that way since it didn't have a great Rams performance the week before to go off of.

The other 2 games I had a feeling it was wrong on... but even then, it wasn't a clear-cut decision. Those two games were pretty close.

I was pretty wrong to think the Colts had a chance to make a game of things though... and the Skins did way better than I woulda guessed. Considering they had been struggling mightily the last few weeks, I woulda never thought they'd have a blowout. I also didn't believe the Bills had it in them to win... but theirs was apparently a lot closer.

Well, time to see what tonight's game does and then I'll recap results and find out what next week did.

Wait, so let me get this straight, you don't watch football, but you are predicting games based on what? What someone else told you? I'm just trying to figure out where you are coming from.

I'm not sure why you didn't expect the Eagles to lose. They are in a tailspin right now that will get their coach fired and already gotten their QB benched.
The Pats smoked the Colts, just like almost everyone else expected. Sure the colts have played some decent games, but they haven't really won against anyone well, good.

Well it looks like Kaepernick should have been starting the whole time. Why hasn't he? The Bears have been getting out coached in this game so far...they need to make an adjustment ASAP or they are gonna get blown out.

Jordanv78 : She is just posting Madden Simulations of the games. So she's not actually predicting the games.

Crazy Li : I'm I correct?

Oldschool41 : I understand except for she's saying things like "Yeah Right" for certain matchups that she doesn't believe in based on something...so that's pretty much a prediction in the simplest terms.
