MrKeepIt2Real33 : Patriots aren't looking to good. Hopefully they stop doing what they are doing and get back in form. But I think the Texans are going to be the AFC Champions this year as I can't see anyone else currently making a good case.

That being said I hope that for Week 8...

1. Eagles beat the Falcons
2. Giants murder the Cowboys
3. Miami crush the Jets
4. Saints beat Peyton
5. Seattle bounces back against the Lions
6. Bears muder the Panthers that they end up benching Cam.
7. Jaguars make the Packers game interesting
8. Skins bounce back and kill the Steelers
9. Raiders win a Road Game
10. Chargers lose to the Browns

I hope the Cards pull it out tomorrow. Everyone who is supposed to whip their butts, they beat them. Everyone who they were supposed to beat, they lost. With that pattern I hope Cards win.

Tony Romo is just bad. Sure he had like 400+ yards passing but I mean how many turnovers does he have the past few games? 10-12? Wow

Kinda a weird week. I'm just glad my Bears won. It was ugly..but hey a wins a win. Those are usually the type of wins that help you get get deep into the playoffs. Let's hope the team can stay relatively healthy.

Jordanv78 : I know, but at least we were losing to a Carolina team that is better then their record (like Tampa Bay, Washington). What really surprised me was the Packers not blowing out the Jags at home, they really need a running game.

Azul Fria : You and me both, I hope the Cards win (heck I hope they win tonight and vs Green Bay).

Carolina is 1-6 for a reason. Cam Newton and no running game. Chico had them pumped up to play his former team and the Bears were looking past them. Like I said before I'm just glad the Bears won.

Might ask you a question Jordanv78....who do you think will win the wildcard almost halfway through the season.

AFC- Dolphins, Steelers, Cincy, Colts, Bills, Chargers, Raiders?

NFC- Packers, Vikings, Seahawks, Cardinals?

Sadly the Cards have fallen for the 4th week in a row after winning their first four games. It's a shame that all the glory had to end the way it did. I hope they still have a winning record.

Kage Negra : Going to be tough, the Cards O-Line can't protect anyone at QB. I will say that Skelton looked good when he had good protection (the running game was terrible since the Cards are thin at that position).

I'm not much of a football fan, but I wanted to mention something I found interesting...

I have a friend who sims every season in Madden to see what it 'predicts'. Apparently, the Falcons had a 16-0 season in his sim this year and I notice they're the only team left that's still undefeated. I'm curious if anyone thinks that this might actually happen in the real NFL.

Crazy Li : Lets see...

Falcons schedule remaining...

vs Dallas
@ New Orleans
vs Arizona
@ Tampa Bay
vs New Orleans
@ Carolina
vs Giants
@ Detriot
vs Tampa Bay

I can't see the Falcons going 16-0 since they play a New Orleans team twice that is better then their record, a dangerous Tampa Bay team that is also better then their record, a Giants team that is better on the road then at home, and maybe Dallas (BIG maybe).

I will admit that if the Falcons do go 16-0, then I will give them the nod that they are the best team in the NFL.

Despite going 16-0, the Falcons did NOT win the Super Bowl in that sim. They lost in the NFC Championship game. The Broncos ended up winning the Bowl, oddly enough.

For some more interesting things, here are the Week 9 results according to that sim:

Packers over Cardinals
Lions over Jaguars
Bears over Titans
Redskins over Panthers
Ravens over Browns
Dolphins over Colts
Texans over Bills
Vikings over Seahawks
Raiders over Buccaneers
Giants over Steelers
Falcons over Cowboys
Saints over Eagles
Chargers over Chiefs (well, that's one right so far)

Crazy Li : Interesting that they would have the Vikings beat the Seahawks at home (Seattle has not lost at home so far) and the Raiders beating the Buccs (Raiders are terrible away, especially when they travel to the East Coast). But besides that the sim is pretty much in line with what I expect.

Oldschool41 : I know that the question wasn't directed towards me but I think the Ravens and Colts will win the AFC Wildcard spots. I think the Steelers will end up winning the AFC North title down the stretch and the Ravens and Colts are still solid teams and could put numbers and the wins needed to at least clinch the wild card spots.

As for the NFC I hope the Vikings and Cardinals clinch up the Wildcard spots. I feel kind of bad for the cardinals and I really hope Skellington or Kolb can put up huge numbers despite them not having a great line. As for the Vikings I just want to see Adrian Peterson in the playoffs again, especially after coming back from such a serious injury, it'd be a nice conclusion seeing him making a playoff run and a possible Super Bowl appearance.

Oldschool41 : I doubt Madden takes things like trends or home/away into consideration when running its sims so that's probably why that happened. I actually expect the Eagles to beat the Saints, personally. They haven't really had it together at all this year.

RealBrickz : No doubt that I agree that either the Ravens or Steelers would earn 1 of the Wildcard spots. Now as to the last one, I agree that the Colts would have the easier schedule to win the second wildcard. However I think that the Dolphins, Cincy, or Raiders would have a better shot at winning at least 1 Playoff game; since most likely the Colts would play at Denver, at Steelers/Ravens, or at New England (depending on record).

Now as to the NFC. I think your right about either the Vikings/Bears/Packers winning one of the Wildcard spot. Its going to come down to the last 6 games. In fact one could argue that both NFC North teams that don't win the division could end up winning both wildcard spots (again depending on record). As to the Cardinals, I think that the O-Line is too damaged for the Offense to put up solid numbers. That said the Defense could still keep the Cardinals alive, but in all honesty injury has ruinied the Cardinals season.

If anything I think that the Seahawks have a shot at a Wildcard as the Defense is solid, they have a great running game, and the QB is starting to look solid. Most of the NFC South besides the Falcons are too far behind and the same thing for the rest of the NFC East besides the Giants. Again anything can happen, but we are halfway through the season so if teams want to compete, now is the time to catch fire.

Crazy Li : Eagles and Saints were suppose to be a great Mondy Night game this year. But with the records these two have its now more of a "deperation" game for both teams to have a shot at the wildcard.

So how 'bout those Bears huh? I'm excited with the way the team has been playing thus far. Especially the defense. Still plenty of room for the offense to improve which is a positive in my book. I'm just hoping everyone stays healthy. As it looks right now they have a chance to make a deep run in the playoffs.

Regarding the Falcons trying to remain undefeated...

I don't think they'll do it after witnessing last night's game.

They faced a very weak Cowboys team (I'm a Cowboys fan. I have the right to say they are weak ) and actually almost lost it, only getting bailed out by a horrible player on the defense.

Can they do it? Of course. Will they? No.

That Giants game in particular worries me for the Falcons. I've gotten the misfortune to see them a lot and it has me thinking they could easily beat the Falcons we saw last night.

legacyme3 : Your right to be conserned since the Giants do better on the road then at home. But I think the Falcons will lose at least 3 games.

Jordanv78 : Yeah my Bears are looking great (particulary that Defense). Going to be a tough game hosting Houston, but I think we will win a close one. Can't wait till we get into the final 6 weeks when we play the Packers (at home), Vikings twice, and at Seattle (which to me is a trap game).

Packers' losing Clay Matthews for a couple of weeks could be a big lose if he is out for a good amount of time. Also Jordy Nelson getting injured is also some trouble.

So I guess the Madden sim got 5 wrong? Probably better than I woulda done since I don't really follow it. But I did have a feeling the Steelers were gonna beat the Giants at least.

Let's have a look at what Week 10 came out like:

Colts over Jaguars
Buccaneers over Chargers
Dolphins over Titans
Patroits over Bills
Ravens over Raiders
Broncos over Panthers
Giants over Bengals
Vikings over Lions
Falcons over Saints
Seahawks over Jets
Cowboys over Eagles
Niners over Rams
Bears over Texans
Steelers over Chiefs

Once again... I dunno squat about football... but I don't buy the results on the games for the Bears, Cowboys, or Vikings. I also think the Panthers might upset Denver.

Not sure what you have against the Bears winning a HOME game against the Texans. The Bears have proven to be a very strong team right now. Admittedly it will be a hard fought game. If the line can figure out how to give Jay some time against Watt, I like their chances to win.
