legacyme3 : The refs have been bad all season but this game really just took the cake. Even though I dislike the Pack, no team deserves to lose a game like that. It was embarrassing.

It really did drag. Even though that I'm an obvious Packer fan, something wasn't right with the refs anyway. Phantom calls, blown calls, and everything else. Vintage Replacement Refs.

Jordanv78 :

Up to this point, I've been indifferent, because while they were bad, they never outright changed the result of a game. The better team won every game so far. Except this one.

The Packers shouldn't have lost that game.

Ridiculous.

I think that My team the GREEN BAY PACKERS will make it to the super bowl only if they get them some new referees because these ones that spend they time selling real estate houses and stuff like that can't referee worth nothing.
But yeah GREEN BAY PAKERS will be facing the new orleans saints in the super bowl and my packers going to come out on top.

Jordanv78 :

The Packers are 1-2. They stomped on the Bears. How could you have forgotten?!

EDIT: Just saw he said they'd face the Saints. My brain must've blocked that part out because of how absurd it is.

Haha, you got in before I could edit my post. Jordan was actually talking about the Saints. But how can you blame me? Of all the things for Jordan to point out, you would've thought that he'd mention that two NFC teams can't play each other in the Super Bowl.

soxfan849 : Yeah I didn't forget that two NFC teams couldnt play in the super bowl. I figured that was obvious but I did want to point out the Saints chances of making the super bowl are nil if they go 0-4. Like I said before I don't think any team has went to the playoffs after an 0-3 start let alone the super bowl Sorry if my post was confusing.

Jordanv78 : I'm pretty sure you could find a few teams that went 0-3 to start that made the playoffs as a wild card if you dug deep enough, but yeah I think it'd be pretty rare. That being said... How about 'dem Cards? I can't believe they're 3-0. And what happened to the Pats offense? They finally got a defense of some kind and their offense immediately started dying. D:

Oh, and just in general... Anyone think that any of the rookie QBs might make the playoffs this year? I think RG3 and maybe, maybe Russel Wilson by the strength of his teams' respectable ground game and defense have an outside shot at the playoffs.

WarpStarFerret : Based on a quick google search it seems that only 3 teams have ever made the playoffs after starting 0-3 and they were all in the mid to late 90's...

As far as Washington goes, there is no way I see them making the playoffs. Their defense is just too bad and missing key players for the season. I see them 8-8 but that's way better than a lot of people expected in the preseason.

Seattle has a decent chance. That defense will keep them in games all season as long as Wilson protects that ball.

Sounds like the Refs and the NFL might be close to an agreement to have them come back. I guess they could be back as soon as week 4 (This week) I guess the monday night game wasn't all that bad if it forced the NFL to bring the real refs back lol

Its nice to see the Real Refs back in action last Thursday. It made the game more comfortable. Let's hope that the rest of the year goes like what we saw then, not all Penalty/Blown Call parades.

I am glad for the old ref's coming back.   But I will say that the Replacement Ref's did try their best and that's all we can ask for them. There were a lot of questionable calls, but they kept some of the games exciting.   Even looking at last week, the Packers are still getting the short end of the stick so it seems, yet they came out with a win.   Classy action by Rodgers to step up and speak for the NFL to the fans about the whole situation that the Lockout caused.   Another funny bit of information, for anyone that's interested in Marti Gras this year, its going to be I think a week early this year because the Superbowl will be going on during the even if they leave it at its normal time!   Why does this matter? The Superdome in New Orleans is the host to this seasons Superbowl, Superbowl 47.    I'm happy my Eagles are 3-1 to start the year, and from what I've seen, it's fair to see that the NFC West is no longer the punching bag of the NFL; for now.  I do think that the Cardinals are going to be a competitor for that conference, and the Jet's are just going to bow out of the AFC East contention early unless they can figure out how to get momentum.   I am seeing the Jet's switch over to Tim Tebow soon, despite what Rex Ryan is saying now.  The organization is going to be pressured to let Tim start after seeing what he did with a broken Denver offense last season, the reason why the Jet's went out to get Tebow in the first place.   The Jets need a playmaker out there with Holmes and Revis out.   In fact the Jets injury list takes up an on field squad, with over a dozen players out with some sort of injury.   Mark Sanchez has been unable to get much done, even with this signing of Former Jaguars wideout Jason Hill, he doesn't have much options besides the ground.   Holmes is most likely out for the rest of the season so they are hoping that the change will do some good for their offense.   The Colts under Luck looks like its still going to be a rebuilding year in Indy, since most of the roster is host to new starters.   Out West Manning is starting to get back in the groove, Oakland is still betting on Palmer to help McFadden get the Raiders offense off the ground, and the Chiefs offseason might bite them in the rear as Peyton Hillis doesn't have as good a season as 2011.   The Saints just don't look the same at all, they suffered a lot during the offseason, and without much of a break its not going to get any easier on them.   Atlanta is looking stellar with the absence of the Saints on the top of the South, their 4-0 start should be a good kick to a Division title.   Still it's going to be the Patriots and the Bills on top of the AFC East, with the Dolphins and Jet's fighting over third. New England will get the Bye in the playoffs. The North is going to be the Raven's with Cincinnati winning the Wild Card as Pittsburgh finds itself on the outside looking in for the first time since 2009 and Cleveland continues the constant rebuilding process.  AFC South looks like Texans are going to get Home Field Advantage for the whole playoffs by getting the best record in the NFL, while the three other teams try to pull out a 500, or winning season with the Titans coming in distant second, then the Jaguars and Colts.   The AFC West is going to be a tight competition, with the San Diego Chargers going in as the Second Wild Card team, and the Broncos under Manning win the Title Oakland kept Denver in check before bowing out and the Chiefs just couldn't get it going.   In the NFC East, The Eagles hold on and get a winning season to take the East late in the season, around week 15 or 16 to clinch.   I don't see the NFC East being less down to the wire than it was last season so expect another tight run for the playoffs, Washington finishes in second the Cowboys fall to last and the Giants drop to third.   The Vikings turn their 3-13 season last year into a dominant performance clinching their first playoff appearance since Brett Favre in 2009, taking the second Wild Card, behind the Packers who clinch the first Wild Card.  Chicago takes the NFC North as well as Home Field advantage in the NFC as the Lions just can't get back to the postseason, seems like a certain curse could be to blame.   The NFC South is flipped upside-down with the loss due to bounty gate, the Saints wind up near the bottom of the South. Atlanta having been shafted by the Saints in the past few seasons finally take the Division and get the bye week the Panthers pull in to Second as Cam Newton avoids the sophomore slump, and the Buc's coast through the season.   Out west Kolb and Card's shock the NFC by beating out the 49ers for the West title and the final spot in the playoffs, with Seattle also challenging the Cards and St. Louis struggles in its first year under Jeff Fisher.   The Playoffs will look much like this
Wild Card Round
San Diego at Baltimore, Cincinnati at Denver
Vikings at Eagles, Green Bay at Cardinals
In the Wild Card Round Baltimore's Defense seals their ticket to the Divisional Round as they take the game 28-17.   Cincinnati finds that the Broncos are much stronger than they thought, as Denver rolls on 24-13.   The NFC sees the Eagles win a playoff game against the Vikings in a tight game 24-21 on another fourth quarter late drive by Michael Vick.   The House of Cards pull off an upset again as they send the Packers home 27-23.
Divisional Round
Denver at Houston, Baltimore at New England
Phoenix at Chicago, Philadelphia at Atlanta
Houston after a bye week explodes on the field and send Peyton Manning home 35-21 to open up their playoff run in style.   The Patriots and the Ravens continue to meet in the playoffs as these two perennial powerhouse teams fight for the right to go to the AFC title game.   Ravens with a new kicker seal the coffin on the Pat's season like New England has done so well before 23-21 in another memorable game in frosty Foxboro.   In the NFC the Bears topple the Cards in a big performance by Cutler, Kolb's season though will earn him the starting job for preseason 2013; Final score 35-24.   In Atlanta the battle of the Birds comes full circle, as the "Angry Birds" of Philly shock Hotlanta in the final minutes of the game, 21-20 to return to the NFC Championship game since 2008.
Championship Round
Baltimore at Houston
Philadelphia at Chicago
Baltimore and Houston, two top teams in the AFC known for their Defense as of late.   The Texans however have a potent offense that does its job and sends Flacco to the ground a few times and gets a pick.   Houston's Arian Foster and Andre Johnson lead the team to it's first ever Superbowl, in a Texas sort of way, 28-17 Final in Texas.   Chicago after sending the Cinderella Cardinals home by 11 points meet a roadblock on the path to Superbowl 47, with the Eagles bursting onto the scene hoping to win its first Superbowl.   The Eagles will do well at the start, but Chicago finally gets its act together and sends Philly packing home 21-17.   The Superbowl is set, it will be Houston hosting the Bears in the Superdome.
With only one Superbowl victory between the two when the Bears in 1985 defeated the New England Patriots, both teams were relatively new to the Championship stage since the Merger.   Chicago opens the 47th Superbowl on the hot side, entering half time with the lead, a first for Houston.   As Houston gets its feet back on the ground and catch up to their opponents, and for the first time in Franchise history, the Texans win the Superbowl 28-17
I know that this is probably a very bold prediction, especially since I did add scores to the game, but those scores are just to emphasize or show how the game will go based on my prediction.   The Superbowl MVP will be Arian Foster or Matt Schaub due to the love affair we have gotten over Quarterbacks.   The Regular season MVP ends up being New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady in a tight race as it is Schaub who wins the Best QB award.   John Harbaugh leads the AFC to a win in the Pro Bowl which we all don't really pay that much attention to these days (maybe that's why in Madden13 if you are in the Superbowl you don't get to play in the Pro Bowl).   For his coaching prowess during the season (mostly his record) Houston Coach Gary Kubiak wins the Coach of the Year award.   As for Rookie of the Year, RGIII wins the Offensive Rookie of the Year award leading the Redskins from worst to second in the NFC East, while Harrison Smith wins the Defensive Rookie of the Year award for the Minnesota Vikings.   The Cleveland Browns win the first round pick in the 2013 draft with the Rams and Colts getting the second and third picks overall.   Feel free to discuss this prediction as much as you want, predictions are always going to be bold no matter who you pick and why you pick them.   I'm sure some or most of my picks could be wrong who knows, it's only week four of the regular NFL season, we still have 13 weeks to wait for all to be revealed! For all we know New Orleans could come back and win the South, or they could be the worst in the NFL, only time will tell as we enter the second Quarter of the already interesting 2012 season. Who is going to stick around? Which undefeated is the real deal and which one has the luck of the cards on their side? This is Deadman9001 out.
I am glad for the old ref's coming back.   But I will say that the Replacement Ref's did try their best and that's all we can ask for them.

I've only been following my team this year, the Packers. Has anybody else team been having trouble with refs this year? It seems that there has been at least once a game, we've been screwed over by them. I'll admit this last one we did lose this last one. The Colts played very well the second half, and weren't ourselves that second half. That and we lost some major players, that being Benson, Raji, and Finley.

While I am not a big football fan,  I am however interested in the competitions.  Sometimes I make wages with friends on a game or specifc team.  I would love to take part in the discussions.

It's going to be the Patriots or the Texans coming out for the AFC this year and the NFC is a big toss up. It will be between the 49ers and the Bears I believe with the Patriots winning one more championship to tie with the team they beat the 49ers for 4 championships for their franchise.
