hello welcome to my review on the lion king on Sega Genesis forgive me on the old version i did relieve  that wasn't much of a review so please forgive me on that. anyway moving on the lion king was released in the cinemas during the Disney resonance era (best era for Disney flicks) too bad i didn't see it in the cinemas at the time cause i was a little baby at the time. so they released a game on both Sega genesis and snes and pc in 1995. this game is one of the hardest game for a Disney game.  the movie its self saw a few releases on vhs (if anypony here remembers that) DVD, blue Ray, downloadable off major media sources iTunes. the movie its self had a few alterations like scars death in the movie with the others fates being unknown for that ending. or songs/scenes where altered   

the game story follows the story from the young Simba in the pride lands to the awesome final battle on scar in 10 levels that are hard. so the game is amazing for its time. and still is now Disney did the animation for the game while the music was composed in a midi format on the genesis but not sure on the sound chip on the snes. 

The Gameplay is get to the end of the stage on some stages boss battles but the 4th stage is more like a memory test cause of the depressing stampede while avoiding rocks and the antlers if the player wants to defeat the stage. like i said about the stampede stage i do believe you guys n gals will cry during the scene (no one will every resist crying on that part) excuse me on that     

the music sounds like the movie but like i said about the sound chip on both systems excluding the PC dub cause of its hardware. my personal favorite song is the be prepared BY scar (who knew villain songs are awesome) 

 the game has its own flaws like for an example the difficulty spike goes up on the second stage. at time Simba cant latch on to objects right cause unfair amount of deaths and game overs. for the pc owners cant play it without the direct x program that made the game playable at the time.

final thoughts on the game its amazingly hard and great Disney game despite its flaws its rather amazing game please check it out. hope you guys n gals enjoy this review happy gaming till next review stay tuned

As far as the game itself goes, it's ok at best. Truth is that if it's a Disney game developed by someone other than Capcom, I'm not interested

This was one of my favorite games as a kid. We would spend the whole day as a family playing different levels and handing the controllers off back and forth. My favorite level was the bug levels, but pretty much every level was awesome.

I never could beat Scar in the final level  

A little frustrated cause I can't seem to get the game to load properly. I have windows 7 and use google chrome, which made the window distorted. So I tried internet explorer, and that gave me sound with a blacked out screen.
