Round 5 ended with a sour note... as the Anarchists walked out on top when all was said and done... however, the group had since dissipated. They left, and were not seen... not even when they were contacted to play in Round VI.

Could this be a round without Anarchists? Or was it simply a ploy by legacyme3, the Game-Master?

With Leggy you can never tell... and boy can you never tell. He is a walking sadist, preying on the confusion and Anarchy. Surely, he wouldn't get rid of the most chaotic part of the game! Would he?

Well, at any rate, the contestents were invited back for another game. There were some new faces, and some old. Some smart faces, some dumb ones.

Many interesting stories abound... would starwars293 actually be believed this game? Or would he be an early casualty. Speaking of casualties... would the_casualty last past the second night? Surely he is innocent, right?

What of sonicmcmuffin, who basically led the bystanders late in the game? Or Someone70 who betrayed the bystanders for the mafia in mid game?

Fallman7 : I do believe that it can be logically inferred through inductive reasoning that at least one if not more of the people already posting have a special role(s) due to the frustration in the post, but even then it is not concrete deductive reasoning, and even if it is right (Probably is, I'm just listing probabilities) we don't know who or how many (or what roles for that matter). Still, it can be used later.

One other thing: I'd bet the mafia are going to snipe at the people who are already active, and that annoys me because I want to survive a long while like I did in round IV. :/

KiddoCabbuses : Yeah, it would pretty much kill the game. :| The problem is that either A the active posters with no PMs are Mafia, or B they are Bystander specials (Or C, leggy is using Anarchists again ).

1. If it's A, and nothing happens, people will probably suspect the posters. The flaw here is that Mafia know who's Mafia, so they might snipe anyways. Of course, that leaves the survivors kind of suspicious.
   
2. If it's B, with no mafia, then the mafia start sniping more likely than not.
   
3. If it's C... I don't really know. :/ We wouldn't notice anything right away because C is quiet. :/
   
4. The best hope for survivability is for a mix of both A and B; then everyone thinks it's just them, with the bad guys being nervous to stick there necks out and the good guys being less suspicious of the others.
   

Of course, that doesn't save the normal people from angry bystanders with pitchforks. Still, the people on the outside looking in are the hope of this round I think. All the active people are already in elbow deep for one reason or another, IMO. :|

First off if you can't move your neck I suggest that you go to a chiropractor. But how old are you playing dodge ball for crying out loud I haven't played dodge ball for 7 years. Also since you made the statement about the Chinese eating cat and dog that is actually a big misunderstanding. The Koreans eat dog as a delicacy not the Chinese. After a rather large amount of observations made by myself, I have concluded that Leggy is basing this round of Mafia solely on gimmick roles and confusion. Nobody will know what's going on and instead people will rely on random lynching rather than scumhunting, role claiming and their counter claims, and basic logic. This doesn't really please me, but I'll try to catch people using obvious Mafia tactics. Reading past rounds I've seen many examples of bussing and tunneling; if the Mafia is really going to be that moronic then they'll all fall without much effort. Many people here act like they've never even played Mafia before... and I wish them good luck, because their foolish moves will not go unnoticed.

Mind you, this'll make me an early target for the Mafia, so if you haven't already, doctor, protect me.

Should I bother reading back on the old Mafia games, or would that be  a waste of time in this instance?

the_casualty : What would be funny is if it turns out you're the Bad Cop and don't even know it after that declaration. You could be going along, making investigations, and *POOF* three positive Mafia members in a row! Then one dies and it's the Border Patrol. I can actually see that happening tbh. I bet leggy would die laughing if it DID happen.

We can't really know much at this point, so there's really no telling what you are or if you're even on the Bystander's side, but at least we know you aren't the Tree. Trees don't need doctors, they need botanists.

It's time for a day round

After much thought, I thought how unbalanced one role was.

So I decided to make it more fair.

THE RESEARCHER is a little different now.

They basically can do one check per day, as usual.

BUT

The way they do the check is different.

They can either

1. Check the claim of someone during the current day round. Free.
or
2. Check the claim of someone who has died, or claimed in a previous round. At the cost of being revealed to everyone as researcher.

This is to give a little balance to the forger.

Wow, that was quite the convenient kill the Mafya gave us, don't you think? Kind of a bit too good to be true, if you get my meaning.

Of course, this new change to the Researcher role won't helps us, nope, not one bit.

And of COURSE I'm not asking the researcher to risk his/her tail to check - That'd be silly. We want them ALIVE for all those claims out in the thread we are going to get, right? Right?

Who am I kidding. The Researcher will probably get used more for Forger checking than anything else, because nobody ever claims in the thread.

Ah, the kill wasn't that convenient, no? It's not like they killed their own Godfather or anything like that.
