I quite like how this would work in any situation.

the_casualty : There were tells if people looked hard enough. That's where my suspicion came from. To your credit though, you did a pretty good job of covering your tracks after the accusation. I made sure you had to play defense after that though. Oh, and you called me the sheriff without knowing my real role, which is what I guess gave the game if that's what made you hesitate on silverthundr. That being said, I doubt anyone thought that the insane crazy one could ever possibly be the doctor.

The mafia as a team was just weaker.

While the doc was alive/not a moron, I can give you a list of everything both doctors did every night.

The mafia didn't communicate... the big one here is this one.

On night 2...
Sheriff/Mafia - mlb789 is Researcher

Pac found a researcher. If he had told Nitori, then the researcher who outed you in the end would have died and this would have been a much different game.

Also, you may be good at the game, but incredibly inactive in terms of PMs. A lot of the times you did send one in, it was rushed without communication from the gf.

Had you coincided on more players, the game would have gone different as well.

For all intents and purposes, the mafia probably had the upper hand early on, until the bystanders used great team work.

I'll consider nerfing the role, but the researcher is only in blind games anyway. Otherwise there's little point to them. In fact, the only reason I added one was because this was a blind game.

Communication should have been better between the mafia, also - Pac never told us that he already had the other researcher, which would have increased the mafia's chances greatly.

Not to pivot the blame on to Pac, mind you.

When you boil it down to it, a lot of silly mistakes were made on both sides.

The mafia's sides mistakes just were a little more... ridiculous in terms of effect.

Anyway... TIME TO NAME THE THREE MVPS

1. mlb789/silverthundr - I say them, and not researchers, because of how they played their role, rather than how the role is designed. Even in an ideal game, it's rare for two researchers to get together and work as efficiently as they did. Had mlb789 been killed early on... the mafia could have smited their chances of winning.

2. crazycatpup - Really, an unsung hero. The tree. She drew mafia fire for one night, which was enough to keep the bystanders alive. If she hadn't been a tree, then a lot of different things could have happened the next day... instead, we got confirmation there was a tree.

3. Logic - In place of a player, I've chosen to say that logic was the real MVP of the game. This was likely one of the more logical games in terms of decisions made. Had the teamwork matched, this could have been a beyond epic matchup. Instead we got amazing logic with a few hiccups.

Aww, no MVP for me.

Not that I really deserved it, I guess - only so much I could do as Border Patrol, and I kept getting non-helpful investigation results. The smartest thing I did was earning silverthundr's trust ASAP.

Also, knowing that the Mafia knew -both- silverthundr -and- mlb, yet kept them alive.... jeez! The game could've been completely different!

I do tend to bring the attention of mafia to me, however I hate that role. :3

You did pretty well on a role you hate.
Do you tend to do just as good on roles you like, as well?

And so, as Mafia Round VI draws to a close, I try to claim the last post. It may or may not work. Har har!

Aboard the yellow submarine, the Researcher, Tree, Loose Cannon, Border Patrol, and Bystander manage to, via blatant godmoding, find the piloting controls and take evasive maneuvers to elude the dreaded SMB3 sun. The sun, stuck in space as it is, can do little more than give the crew it's 8-bit middle finger.
The five then set a new course....
A course that'll probably take them straight into the next Mafia Round.
The dead will live again, and will kill again.
One of these five may or may not make it.
One of these five may or may not turn to the side of Mafia, or Anarchiy.
One of these five may be important to the next game, or  rendered insignificant.
But as these statements are contradictory when taken as a whole, the only conclusion that can be reached here for certain is that the next game will surely be filled with the same twists and turns. ... Right, Leggy?
