Instructions
-You should uninstall the previous plugin before installing this one, to do so, go to the Start Menu, All Programs, Vizzed Retro Game Room, and Uninstall.
-Be sure to close your internet browser before installing this new Plugin.
-If the plugin tells you you're missing VC++ Runtime, you'll need to install that first. You can download it here:

If you have any problems with the new plugins, please report it in this thread. We'll try to help you fix as many problems as we can, if there are a lot of problems we can't walk you through, we'll work on getting another plugin release soon which would fix those problems.



Notes
Your save files no longer store on the server, when you go to save and load a game, it happens on your computer, all saving is local. This was done for security reasons and also because the saving uploading and download was putting too much strain on the server (notice the site is a lot faster now?). The bad thing is, if you switch computers, you wont be able to load your save files from computer to computer unless you manually transfer your save files. The good thing is, besides the security and site improvement, your save files are less likely to get corrupted or lost.

The location of your save files and cached files on your machine are in a new location, you can find those here:
Start Menu > All Programs > Vizzed Retro Game Room > Open Data Plugin Folder

In a few days, I'll create a page where you can download your save files from the server and save them to your computer where your local save files are located. This will solve the problem that some might have of losing their save files.

N64 has a 2nd emulator
Nintendo 64 now can be played in 2 different emulators from within the plugin. The emulator that they were played in before was 1964 but now they can be played in 1964 and Mupen64Plus. Some N64 games that didn't work or didn't play good in the RGR Plugin before may work better in the Mupen64Plus emulator, in fact most games probably play better in that emulator compared to the 1964 emulator.

Any save files you created in the N64 games before this plugin update only load in the 1964 emulator. Also, Mupen64Plus supports save states and for some people, 1964 should support save states as well now. Sometime within the next few weeks, we plan to increase the compatibility with the games that load into Mupen64Plus even better which means after we do that, 99% of the N64 games will work and most of them perfectly (the best part is, this update in a few weeks wont require another plugin update).

A note regarding Mupen64Plus, it doesn't let you adjust your keyboard or controller controls, you have to use the default. The default keyboard controls are currently unknown so you'll have to play around until we make an update for that (which should take place in a few days).



What else is new?
A lot of the problems that existed in the previous plugins should no longer exist. This new plugin should have a lot less problems and run better. Also since your save files are now based on your user id, someone else can use their user account on the same machine as you and their save files wont overwrite yours (that was a problem in the previous plugins). This means that the risk of losing your save files decreases.



A few updates to the Retro Game Room
I also did a few updates to the Retro Game Room itself. The header area with the systems has been redesigned to fit in the new systems (and famicom disks system has also been added, that was never in the header even though it was an available system in the last plugin). The Retro Game Room also has a 'new' icon next to games and systems that have been added in the past 30 days. There were other various updates to the RGR and plenty more to come in the upcoming weeks.

Go through and take screenshots of as many of the new games as you can, if you take enough good ones, we'll hire you to the staff within a day. Our goal is to get screenshots of every game of the newly added systems.

First, I am loving these new games. I have only played the games on SGFX so far, and they are fun. One thing I noticed (not about the plugin). I assigned screen shots for all the games currently on the SGFX system. They show up on the three slots on the game's page, but they still appear blank on the index page of the SGFX system.

epicpokenerd! : Are you using a different computer than before? Are you having problems with any of your other saves?

somari : To be honest, I didn't get nearly enough from donations to cover all the updates, I totaled maybe $350 or so from donations over the past few months and I've invested $3000 of my own money into the plugin over the past few months, you do the math . Most of that money went toward features, bug fixes, better plugin performance and a bunch of new systems (adding disc systems or netplay would've cost way more).

death_nation : I don't remember mentioning Neo Geo.

rcarter2 : That's weird, you'll have to remind me of that issue sometime this upcoming week and I'll have more time to look into it. Yeah these new systems are pretty neat to have, I've only played the Neo Geo Pocket a few times and I've never played the Wonderswan. It'll also be nice to have the ability to take screenshots for game gear and sms games now and to compete in high scores.

Metal Triforce : Can't, sorry. Well the custom configuration will never be an option but we will make adjustments to the keyboard controls for Mupen64Plus.

rcarter2 : I actually did figure out the problem, it wasn't working for all the new systems, fixed now. SuperGrafx sure was an easy system to complete lol.

death_nation : It's a handheld system that came out in the late 90s. I'm pretty sure it was Japan only but it had some brand name games on it such as various Final Fantasy games.

I forgot to mention that Turbo Grafx is also one of the systems that is now compatible in the RGR Plugin. That's the system I wanted added the most, I can't believe I forgot to mention it and also forgot to make a link to it on the TG game pages. It's all taken care of now

Davideo7 :   I saved Tony LaRussa Baseball (Sega Genesis) eight games into a 162 game season. I've installed the new (1.63) plugin, though I had trouble doing so inasmuch as I couldn't uninstall the previous version for not being able to find an "alternate path" to it on my computer. Someone else mentioned having this problem, as well.

 That aside, when I saved my baseball game, where it used to read Save State Upload Complete, it read State Saved, but Local Only. I checked my C drive, as suggested in your post. There wasn't a folder "C/Program Data/Vizzed..." If the saved state is on my computer, I don't know where to find it. I can't load my saved game otherwise.

Any ideas?

one thing i noticed is on my coputer the new nintendo 64 emulater is sped up.could you try to put it at normal speed but other than that it works just fine for me.

Some Game Boy games have been colored and have had no music since I installed the new plugin.

When I try to load one of my save states, I get two popup messages: Unknown opcode dd at 0120 and Unknown opcode dd at 0121. How do I fix this?
