I know there's a ton of these questions on the site, but I'm still having trouble. Can somebody help me use the Save File Manager? I went to play Super Metroid on SNES today, and it told me to upgrade the RGR plugin, so I did. After I downloaded, when I load my save state with F4, it loads what must be a save from way earlier. And my in-game save brings up an earlier save as well. (I thought it might have been something with the new plugin, but I tried other games and they were fine.) I tried loading other save states in Metroid but it says "Unable To Load."

Nevertheless, I'm trying to use my backup saves with Save File Manager, but when I try to move them to Slot 1, it says there's already a file in that slot. How can I move a file out of Slot 1? Is the file name that's bolded at the top of the saved games Slot 1? And which one should I be using, .zst or .srm?

Does any of that make sense? If not, let me know and I'll try to be less confusing. Thanks a lot, I was just about to fight the Draygon, so I'd like to get my saved game back.

The .zst is the save state (F2) and the .srm is the native or in-game save.

The primary save (slot 1) will have to be moved in order to replace it. Where it says Slot 1 there will be buttons next to that for move Slot 2 or 3 or. After you've moved it then on the file that says backup, you'll click Move Slot 1.

Whichever save that is in slot 1 will be saved over and loaded.
