Why are you all acting like Skyrim is a bad game? Is it because its so popular and you don't wanna follow the crowd? Get over that and just enjoy games,honestly Skyrim is amazing outside of the bugs it has and i can prove this by the fact that it is winning all of the GoTY awards.

Anyway, I've never played Skyrim before; but I've never seen anyone say anything bad about it as a whole. What is it that people are saying that makes you think they're acting like it's a bad game?

People who say that Skyrim is bad are a bunch of nay-sayers with too much time on their hands.

I haven't played Skyrim, nor FFXIII-2, but one thing I saw on my Steam that shows that Skyrim is well and beyond the average is simply this: On my Steam list, all my friends had accumulated more than 400 hours total combined in Skyrim within the first two weeks.
And I only had three friends that played it.

Ehh?,since when where people saying final fintasy was better than skyrim? over than the final fantasy fan boys? and of topic Goty awards are not a viable way to judge a game.And are generally used as a way for games to increase their appeal to the kind of people that wait for a review before they buy the game.

There's no competition between a old classics  and a new modern game here .I haven't played them both  but  once FF series add a sequel to a  chapters if it sells over a millions within a year .There's no doubt that they make another Sequal to Elder Scroll: Skyrim.But nobody here had been putting  those 2 into battle.Not then not even now.

Well, for me it's a tie. Skyrim is pretty dang big. But Final Fantasy is a little more immersing for me. Skyrim is just so big that after a while I get a little bored with it. But Final Fantasy actually has a conceivable end. They say it would take years to beat Skyrim.

Two totally different games...the only thing they have in common is picking talents when you level.I like them both in different ways.FF has an great combat system..very interactive.Skyrim has true freedom..you can do what,go where you want,and play how you want..as an explorer I prefer skyrim but both are excellent games...and almost feel in different genre.

Here's why people don't like Skyrim.

Either

1. It's a "mainstream" game everyone likes
2. It's hyped a lot, so they want people to shut up about it
3. They have no taste in games.

Skyrim is game of the year.

I don't see how it's any competition.
