Argus Swift : I made a separate thread so that we don't derail the other one too bad. We can use this one to talk about how we want it to go, who will join, ect. Then you can make a separate thread for the actual RP to be held.

As for the style, I'd prefer more action-horror, but it's your call. Since you're going to be running this, I'll leave everything up to you.

Well.... We've established with the majority of participants thus-far that a more action-adventure type of motif is what we're wanting to go for.

So!

Let's get a discussion going: What about setting? A city? Where in one? How big of a city? Dare we go with a stereotypical mall setting? This is all for just at the start, as we'll definitely need to keep on the move.

tj4bigred : Summoning you here asking you to join and then not letting you would be weak. Of course we'll let you in, and we'll be glad to have you. Though I don't know when we'll be able to get started. We should probably wait to see if a few more people want to join in. It'll be up to Argus to decide whether or not we let people join after it starts, but we'll definitely hold off starting up for at least another day.

Argus Swift : As for the setting I've got an idea. Feel free to shoot it down, it's just an idea. But what do you think of finding a real city on Google earth and using that as the setting? It seems like it might be a bit more complicated than I hoped, and it might make things a little too concrete but it might be doable. I'm not so sure about the idea myself, and actually would probably prefer not to use it. But I want to know what your thoughts are.

That said, I think I would prefer to start in a bigger city; but I don't really know. Feel free to let me know what your thoughts are on this. Same for you, tj.

soxfan849 : Hmm...... Interesting idea in theory, but I don't think it'd work that great in application. Perhaps if we chose a city either of us is very familiar with? (if I had to run a zombie RP that was set in my home city of Edmonton, Alberta, I would have absolutely no trouble.
But I don't want to just be leading the pack. I kinda want to be the local 'sherpa', who helps along and knows the area really well, but doesn't lead the way.)

Argus Swift : I don't think it's a good idea even with a familiar city. Plus I don't want this to be a chore for you. Like I said before, though, I've never been in an RP before. How much can random making stuff up ruin it completely? Or does it usually remain relatively reasonable?

EDIT: Also you should come into the chat room at some point. We can talk about it there a lot more easily. Plus it can be a lot of fun in there if you have the time.
